I think the reason you have come to a standstill is because it is a perfect ending. There really is no adventure or opposition here. If you want to keep working with this story, I would suggest that this be made into some sort of epilogue for some sort of adventure centered around the completion of the jewel and maybe how that affects their family and village. Hey maybe even Shippo could find a mate! Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that it is a really nice story and I understand how it cannot really be continued an a new chapter because it is so perfect by itself. But the story really isn't over.

I love your fics! I have read and re-read Home for Kagome and Family for Kagome (still waiting for more chapters) and I decided to see what else you had written. I really enjoyed this fic! The only comment that I want to make is that in modern Japan, it is the men that want to start families and the women are the ones that do not want children. They do not want to have the same struggles and hard ships that thier mothers went through, because it is still rather socially unacceptable for a Japanese woman to be a working mother. Otherwise it is a very good story and I plan on reading it several more times ^_^
