I love this fic! It's so beautiful. It's VERY original when it comes to the mating ritual, and I love that. I love candles *sigh*. Anyways, please update soon. I really want to know what comes next. Is he really going to leave her? I hope not. Well, Ja ne.

It is very good so far. That was one of the best intupurtations I have every heard of a mating ritul. It is more refreashing then most of the stories about Bulma & Vegeta. All & all i liked it. |

I think I last read this story in September (when I found it I couldn't stop reading it [it's one of my fav V/B AU's!!] until the "last" chapter... which obviously wasNOT the end) ... so I may not remember everything about this story, but I remember that it had me addicted and wanting more. (btw, I love the pictures you've drawn to accompany this story)
During this chapter, everything was described so well that a reader could almost feel what they were feeling. What I mean is, when they were apart, you felt the tug to get them back together and when they finally touched ... well, at least I found my breath had escaped me.
Um ... I could GUESS what the symbolism of the candles burning out means (I'm not sure if you mentioned that in the previous chapters or not--it's been awhile) ... when the two candles burnt out, it was like the 2separte beings became one(with the ritual and all). And when the final candle burnt out, it was like the one became all and nothing--the full bonding was complete. Uh ... does that make any sense? Anyway, it's what it made me think of. *shrugs*
I admit that after waiting as long as most of us have for an update, I felt like I was left wanting more--yes, the chapter was a little short but I understand. (in order for me EVER to update, I've started ATTEMPTing to write shorter chapters--but in the end it seems like I'm even MORE convinced that it's never right.)
The only thing that REALLY confused me was the Saiyan language at the end. I mean, it sounded like something beautiful and fitting for the situation, but in the same breath I was chastizing myself for not knowing what it meant. (I guess I felt left out)
Well anyway, overall it was a well done chapter and I can't wait for more! (okay, I WILL wait, but I can't say for how long;) if you want to tell everyone the full details of the rituals and don't want to put in the fic, then I'd suggest adding them to the story later--maybe after the story, or something. Or even as another fic. Saiyan Rituals 101. *chuckles* Hell, I'd pay for that class!!! and yeah, if you don't mind telling lowly me only, then send it to me at duonotsuin@yahoo.com . You don't have to, but eitherway I'd LOVE to learn more! ^_^

That was a great chapter. I love how Bulma is trying so hard to be brave even though I'm sure she's as confused as heck. You have a nice way of writing this couple together without going OOC. It's obvious that from the beginning Vegeta didn't want this but he is accepting his responsibility with grace and compassion. Great job! |
