its about bloody TIME!! I wish that would happen with the anime!! even my four year doesnt understand why she sits him for no reason and as my little one says and I quote " mommy if I acted like shippo you would spank me I'm glad I'm a good girl"

Huzzah! So glad you wrote a piece like this, complete with Inuyasha's tirade. I dislike that it becomes a physical retribution for frustration or anger - that'd be like Inuyasha hitting Kagome every time she made him mad - which I don't think people would take too kindly too. The fanfic drives me particularly insane - I guess I just don't see the humor in it. Regardless, well done. I enjoyed the piece. ^_^

i don't know what the comotion is all about. i really liked this story. i've read quite a few about the sit command. it's used in many different situations. it's an object that many writers like to explore. i think you did a fantastic job of conveying the frustrations that inuyasha would have to be going through. while it's true that the sit command is used much more frequently in the anime than in the manga, any one who's watched the anime has seen it used quite often. and it makes anyone wonder how they could watch a friend being put through that over and over. i loved the way you had inuyasha lecture them all. so keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your writing with us.

Just found your stories and must tell you that this one is fantastic. Your thought the same as mine, Kagome sits him too much for nothing, and please do not talk about fanfics. It is so, so wrong. You don't treat anybody like that, what I'm saying I wouldn't dare treat my dog like that. Shippo is a spoiled brat, Sango is just somebody that for the way she was raised tend to thing low about demons, I know that she changed her thoughts about Inuyasha but she still has to grow up, as Kagome. Sometimes I must remind myself that she is a teen ager, but not from Feudal era but nowadays. Although, most of the time they portrait her so... unerving. She is like the flawless woman on earth and then she treats the one she loves like crap. I know that sometimes Inuyasha is just himself, but he has an awful background of loneliness, mistrust, hurt, hate, etc. Always they set him as the unsensitive jerk and two timing guy but, actually, he has more honour that anybody out there. Really appreciate your fic, it's well written and with a very realistic Inuyasha's portrail. If he was going to react to all those sits, that was the way he'll do it, shouting! Well done.

I hipe you don't think I'm prying when I write this, but, I read the other 2 really long review's that say that they dissagree with you, but I think their wrong. Personally, I think Inuyasha takes a lot from Kagome. In the anime, Shippo goes crying to Kagome, saying Inuyasha hit him, when Inuyasha has a good reason for bonking him over the head. Inuyasha tries to tell Kagome why, she doesn't listen, and he kisses the dirt. Inuyasha tries to get Kagome to stop leading Kouga on, Kagome gets offended, thinking that he thinks she is flirting with him, and again Inuyasha kisses the dirt. Personally, I think Kagome uses the cowards way out. She sits him when she wants to go home, she sits him when he disagrees with her on something, she sits him when Kouga comes, sits him for going to go see Kikyo, etc. While, yes,when I first started watching the show, I thought the sits were funny. But, as the anime progressed, and the sits came more often, and for more stupider reasons, I found it very immature. I my self have been trying very hard to write a fanfic on Inuyasha's feelings behind the whole thing, but I just can't seem to write it out. Your story is wonderful. Don't think other wise. I could actually feel Inuyasha's anger. Your very talented. As I read more and more fanfics that go along with the anime, the more and more I saw writers sitting Inuyasha for hurting Kagome. Personally, I think that even though she is my favorite female character, I think Kagome is a bit whiney, spoiled, and sometimes a bit selfish (Kikyo incidents). Sango and Miroku are always concerned about KAGOME'S feelings. They never ask how Inuyasha is after words. Like when they thought Kikyo died, Inuyasha was clearly upset, and they just bashed him because Kagome was sad. They didn't think to console their friend, they just worried about Kagome hurting. And personally, I find that wrong. Anyway, I'm done rambling about how Inuyasha is treated unfairly in the anime and most fanfics. Please, don't take what the other's said to heart. December Love 05

Um, let me start off this review by saying I'm actually a big fan of your other two fics, "Watching" and the "Sweetest Escape." That said, while your writing is clearly stellar in this fic, I have to agree with the last reviewer's comments on this one-shot. Judging from your rather adolescent rant about the reviewer's comments, I read through this story and even your author's note at the end. Nowhere did you actually say or imply that you can't stand other fanfic authors' portrayal of Kagome. Rather in your own words you wrote: "I don't know about anybody else, but I think Kagome sits Inuyasha entirely too much. So, I decided to write about it...I'm not trying to portray Kagome as a complete bitchy little brat (though she seems to come across that way to me sometimes…)...I just think she's a little too liberal with the `sits'" I mean, no offense, but your own words in the A/N contradict the logic of your second author's note. I, personally, found myself questioning whose portrayal of said character you didn't like or couldn't stand, Takahashi's, the anime's, or fanfic writers'. And, considering this one-shot was posted under the genre of romance/angst, I think calling it a "parody" as one of your other reviewers did is a bit of a stretch. Oh and one more thing, just b/c a reviewer doesn't agree with the content of what you wrote, doesn't construe the review as a "nasty" piece of writing, aka a flame. Flames normally trash the author's character with profanity and/or below the belt jibes that have absolutely nothing to do with the fic itself. But, regardless, I only engaged in this long, digressive ramble (which you'll probably construe as another rant against your character) because I actually like your writing. You are quite talented, even if I don't agree with the content of what you write. Please don't confuse the kagome characterized as a bitchy, bawling, emotionally unstable adolescent by several lackluster fanfics with the 'actual' or manga-portrayed kagome of takahashi's work. within the span of less than a year, as depicted thru the inuyasha manga, kagome sits inuyasha less and less, hardly ever uttering the command unless inuyasha's life is in danger, etc... And, if you have such a problem with inuyasha being treated as a "well whipped pet" via the sit commands, why don't you have a problem with sango and her violent reactions to miroku via her boomerang? i get how slapping a person, man or woman, for trying to cop a feel might be somewhat justified, but hitting a person with a boomerang, repeatedly (and unarguably, as many times as Kagome supposedly sits Inuyasha) for merely flirting with other women is beyond excessive...physical abuse anyone? so why, then, is that more acceptable than Kagome's sits? Aren't both situations, as Takahashi-san even said so herself, forms of comic relief, not intending to de-masculinize or demonize any of the characters? Or, i guess, if Sango and Miroku were the main characters, you'd be bitchin and moanin about the outrageous abuse the poor monk suffers at the hands of his "bitchy, unrelenting" ball-buster of a love interest.

Wow. Just wow. I've been trying to write a fanfic like that, you know with him blowing up like that, for a while. But the words just wouldn't come out. This is deffinately what I was trying to write.

Thank you so much for bringing to light something that has continuously bothered me in some other fan-fictions. I feel that in many fanfics Kagome uses the sit command way to often. Some authors fail to see incongruity between writing about a Kagome that is madly in love with Inuyasha while at the sme time having her bash his face into the ground every time something doesn't go her way. I also like how you addressed the fact that Shippo is constantly portrayed to be a whiny, spoiled brat who is always allowed to speak atrociously too his elders. Finally he gets what he deserved. I think you did a wonderful job in having Inuyasha express himself in a way that stays very true to his character. I was certainly cheering him on as he delivered his tirade. I can't wait to see more of your work keep up the good job!

I concur; over use of that command can quickly reach the point of absurdity. You did an excellent job portraying what would undoubtedly be Inuyasha's true thoughts on the matter. You won't find the stereotypical overly dramatic Kagome creating Inuyasha-sized craters on a whim in my stories. I will admit that I have used the command on occasion, when I felt it appropriate, but come on people, less is more.
