wow, it was quite a bit to take in all at once, it's late, i'm tired, and my brain's numb. i'm sure the next segment will explain the significance of what 'the order' did to kaoru, her family and her powers. each sequel adds more and more layers, details, nuances to the story, you've set this up in a unique and interesting way, a vast variety of different perspectives and ways to narrate, the third person, the first person, the journal entry... very unique. you do it in a way that the same scenes and actions aren't rehashed over and over just by this one's perspective then that person's perspective, each is a fresh point of view without seeming to copy/past and change the names that other (not so talented) authors call 'switching POV'. eloquently executed. ~ thank you, ginny
