Oh, I really enjoyed that! ^_^ I agree with your presentation of the post-manga situation where Kagome chose to be with Inuyasha and it meant leaving her family for good. And it's only natural that she would miss them, especially around special occasions. I loved the tidbits about the Winter Solstice festival. And nothing beats a story where someone does something unexpected and touching for someone they love. ^_^ (I'm such a big softie! LOL!) Lovely!

Oh! doggieearlover... that has to be the sweetest one-shot I have ever read! I even teared just a little when the crane covered tree was revealed. Wonderfully done, yet again!
