Cute idea. I was pretty sure the misleading angst at the beginning was deliberate and that it was going to turn out she wasn't really dead, but I didn't know what the twist was until Mrs. Higurashi clarified her being away for 9 months after reading Kagome's note. I can't recall seeing that idea done before, that Kagome can't pass through the well while pregnant. That would tend to suggest that their child won't be able to pass through either, once it's born, but it makes sense since most beings cannot pass through the well. I think the only thing I remember along these lines was a story where Kagome's unborn child *poofed* away suspended in the time slip of the well while they were in the future, which was even weirder, but cool in its own right. At any rate, good job on your first one shot. It could use some sprucing up, but it was really well done all in all.
