i had to say to the reviewers who blast inuyasha for making kagome second choice: KAGOME made herself second choice, inuyasha can't choose because deep down, he's been conditioned to believe a hanyou doesn't DESERVE anything, much less the fulfillment of his most cherished desires. this paralyzes him & retards him emotionally. i believe he honors kagome by trying to live up to what he thinks are her wishes. kagome doesn't have the capabilities to see how damaged he really is because it is beyond her understanding to degrade someone the way he has been degraded. hence, she continually misunderstands his needs & wants and he is incapable of expressing them properly. oops, sorry for the minirant.

What a lovely story! I enjoyed every second of it and loved that Inuyasha finally became a father and realized that there is only one true love! Thank you again for writing such a wonderful tale!

Sever the Red Cord http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/view_ch.php/169163/600795#fic_c A really great story which this story reminded me of. ''The selfish part of him wanted to keep her all to himself, despite him currently sharing his life with Kikyou. How was that fair? But if the fates were on his side, if he planned things right, then he could show up on her doorstep later the same morning after his past-self had ditched out, apologizing and sweeping her off her feet. Sure, it had a bitter, ‘Hey, my life with Kikyou is over with, so now it’s your turn’ feel to it, if you allowed your heart to drift that way,but Kagome was a very forgiving person, and he did not believe she would hold such a grudge against him…at least not for long.'' So HER happiness does not matter to him at all? I did not think that he could get any more disgusting than his character in the manga. Your story proved me wrong. Poor Kagome, having to be his Second Choice wife since her bastard husband did not tell her the full truth (he's only with her because Kikyou did not want to fuck him...) I actually felt really dirty after reading this. But it was like a train wreck. I just could not look away. I was hoping that she would at least express some disappointment with him (its only fair) but that did not happen and he got his happy ending with hardly any suffering. Poor Izayoi and Kagome. They're both so adorable.

Like! Very good for a story story (ie long enought to have setail, short enought to keep you from straying about (aka forgeting the plot line). You do know that their is another story (Sass/Kag) with the same name... though I think it fits for both stories.

I loved it, I was sad that it ended so soon but at least im not on the edge of my seat waiting for the next chappy. :) I would like to, however, know what exactly happend to Sango and Miroku(obviously dieing of old age) but the details of their life together, and Rin! What happends to Rin I wonder....? I still loved it though, great story with a happy ending.

This was so...*insert jumble of adjectives.* But seriously, this story pulled me in a lot of different ways. I really liked what you did with Kikyou here. I thought she was spot-on the whole way. She's not a bad person, but she is deeply flawed. I did see the "other man" coming; it's the natural product of a passionless marriage where neither person is happy. Toward the end, they weren't even content together. I'm amazed by Kagome's acceptance of Inuyasha when he returned; I thought she would feel a little jealous or something. But I have to remind myself that she's not a "normal" person in that regard; her heart is bigger than most. Fortunately for all parties involved.

This is definitely going into my favorites. I love most if not all of your writings but I think this one is one of my favorites. Even the Inu/Kik moments were bearable (thanks to you not going into too much detail). It definitely helped Inuyasha mature and realize what was really important. I'm glad that even if Kagome had been with someone else he would have hung around. Too many stories have him spotting Kagome with someone else or with a child and immediately jumping to conclusions, he runs away. I liked your take on how he was willing to hang around and thus was able to discover the truth on his own. And as much as I have enjoyed your recent A/U fics, I am really glad to see a new canon (albeit off-canon but most of them are) fic from you. But whether canon or not, you always do such a great job of capturing their personalities. So to finish this review, I really enjoyed this fic and was happy to read that note at the end about how it was the end for now. I would definitely love to read more from this universe, but understand if you decide that it can stand on its own.

I loved reading a new fic from you - but I have to admit, I had a hard time with the whole Kikyou mess. I guess for me, she was being nothing but selfish. She was determined to keep Inuyasha for herself, no matter who she hurt, until she suddenly decided she didn't want him anymore. As for her sending him to be with Kagome - far as I'm concerned, it wasn't that she cared about him, she just had a guilty conscious, and it was simply a way for her to salve it. And maybe get rid of him so she didn't have to feel awkward while hanging all over her new man. I guess I know what you were trying to do with her in this one, but personally, I hated her actions and her in this story. Grr. I'm not much of a Kikyou fan, anyway, but... Still, I pretty much love anything from you, so straight into favorites it goes! Amber
