This pairing has been done before, but I'm always surprised at how few stories there are. Even fewer are the ones that are serious, because they're usually about Jaken having a dream, or the affection being entirely one-sided. I think this is because the fandom rarely has the creativity to even consider it an option, let alone pull it off. You have, though, and I think this is a GREAT addition to the archives, because it's well-written, in character, and you made it very believable. It was only really difficult to read because this site tends to mess up formatting on stories royally. I would try a different format and try to fix it up a little bit in order to make it a little better, if you can. I would read more if you decide to post more, given I'm always on the lookout for well-written and thought-out stories. This definitely fits the bill. |
