I liked this story. Although extremely morbid and depressing, that's what it was supposed to be. However, what I both liked and DIDN'T like was how pathetic Ken was acting. I liked this because I actually think Ken would act this way in this situation (bravo). I didn't like this because I find patheticness -for lack of a better term- pathetic. Also, when Ran forgave Ken, I was expecting that. I had no surprises from your story, however the plot obviously kept me reading, so good job. (Not that MY oppinion is so important 8P)
