I totally agree with your assesment of Inuyasha fanfiction as a whole. There is no where near enough stories about friendship. You, however, have done an excellent job at creating one! :D

Kikyou. Kohaku. I wondered at the parallels, in the pair of us. He and Kikyou, Kohaku and I. Two people trapped by the people we love, who are already dead. Wow, I don't think I ever really, truly understood Inuyasha's and Kikyo's relationship until they were compared to Sango and Kohaku. This was such a beautifully sad story, and again, excellently executed. I agree with your author's notes, there really isn't a lot of "friendship" stories that focus on the non-romantic feelings of the group. I just finished watching some of the episodes you reference in this story, and it just made the Inuyasha/Sango relationship much stronger. Well done.
