The individual identities of the characters are all unique, but don't border on being absurdly contrasting to one another. There is the rivalry of Akeno and Kaizei, the nature-nut that is Keanu with a passion for wildlife that is later seen in Tentomon's pain about his poor tree, the reasonable Lei, and the cheerful, though sourly sexually-harassed Avery. (Akeno is my favorite, by the way.) Regardless, the approach to their abduction to the Digital World is original, and certainly understandable if they were the first group -- a reckless, not too well planned approach by the Powers That Be. Akeno's presumptions of being kidnapped are classic; the first fight interrupted by a hungry Dark Tyranomon is reminiscent of 01, and just as hilarious. The dialogue is witty and actually goes somewhere, which sadly doesn't happen often enough in most other fanfictions. I don't even know what to say about Ecchimon (and that's a good thing). And the end .. it's frankly disturbing, how it answers Lei's question so bluntly, but it sets up a great tone that'll probably carry over into the next chapters (which there had better be). Kudos to you.
On a technical note, I didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
