I've only gotten through a chapter and a half. I'm not so opposed to certain pairings but, you obviously haven't read Harry Potter. Or at least, read it enough to write fanfiction (It took me ten read throughs of the first three books and eight of the fourth). I don't mind the misspellings so much, some of the names are hard to spell (I spent a week reciting how to spell McGonagall (One 'n' two 'l's...) I know it's difficult to write canon (true to the original story/characters) but...I am just perturbed about one main thing. Tomoyo (Daidouji) couldn't use her camera, because electrical things wouldn't work at Hogwarts because there's too much magic in the air (Hermione, fourth book, speaking on the 'bugging' by Rita Skeeter) I know I sound like a total bitch saying this, but it's best to be a little researched. Don't take too much heed to this, I'm just anal about that because I'm a journalist, I just write fiction in my spare time. I can tell you'd be a great writer if you'd just do a teeny bit of research and kept track of things that characters say and do. By the way, everytime you read Harry Potter, it gets better cause you notice things like Arabella and Mrs. Figg... |
