This was a great fic! Erm, it does seem to lean more towards Jou + Anzu than Jou x Keith... Not that I really care, because this (as stated before) is a great fic. Loved the charactorization of Anzu. She was kept very much in-chara without being taken to the land of psycho-friendship-bitch. Your Jou was nicely down as well. A lot of people take ansty!Jou and turn him into a melodramitic sop. Your's was more melancholy and wistful than others and it worked rather well for this fic. I don't really have much to say about Keith. He just seems... sorta random in this fic, like the weather. Something that happenes without you having any real control over it. But, like Jou, it worked quite nicely.
My only complaint (if you could really call it that) is the use of German throughout the fic. Scrolling back and forth between the translations below and the body of the fic above got a bit distracting at times. But somehow, you made it an integral part of the fic, like Keith. Good job. I'd be interested in seeing what else you could do with this pairing. |
