hey, cool stuff. Fortunately, I'd had a chance to see the Kenshin OVAs so I knew what was going on, and the Kyoto arc is definitely my favourite. It was really interesting to see your interpretation of the way the series took place through Kenshin's eyes and the way you were able to capture the dichotomy of his personality. The only critique I could offer is a fairly small one, and probably one born of my less than intimate familiarity with the series as a whole: Do you really think he was *that* bitter before he made his vow to stop killing? Your writing kinda carried that vibe to it and, whilst I suppose it is all up to interpretation (or perhaps you really know from having read the manga) but to me...but then again, I'm not a position to judge. All in all, though, I thought it was a really well thought-out and really well written piece. Very poetic and it was cool how you only made the most oblique references to the other characters, never mentioning them by name. Heh, awesome job!
