Is it really so hard to be historically sound? The Egyptians married in childhood (ten and younger) and the Pharaoh would have had a harem of wives in addition to his principal wife; who was almost always a sister or other close relative. The story itself is good, but you write the ancient civilizations as if they're Old England- and they're not. Far, far from it. Neither society would have viewed it as wrong to have a lover in addition to spouse(s) and the Romans actively encouraged bisexual orgies. Plus, the clothing was out of left field. And Pharaoh was a Living God, he was so respected, his power so supreme, you didn't even kneel and kiss his foot- you knelt and kissed the DIRT in FRONT OF his foot; Yami would not have gotten away with any sort of cheekiness. Before you set a fic in an ancient world, research their way of life, not just the gods, but the everyday life. The Pharaoh also participates in the Rising Ceremony everyday, if he doesn't the world ends. Little things.

You're basing Yami's "problem" on a false assumption. All he has to do is marry her, then forget about her. He doesn't have to make her his Great Royal Wife. And he could have as many wives, concubines and consorts as he pleased.
