Oh my god. This was so unbelievably awesome. I really really enjoyed the knives/vash interaction. It didn't seem forced and really showed both twins point of view. I just loved the fic in its entirety. I put this in my favorites and you are now also a favorite author of mine. This was simply amazing.

Very well written indeed! I enjoyed the heated debate and the real solution, the fact that there IS no solution. Hehe. The symbolism with the chess pieces and the metaphors and hypothetical situations really made the content of the fic stand out as well. Also, this fic is quite original, its not the usual heavy, continuous plot with violence and a multitude of chapters. More like a calm, yet subtle battle. Great Job!! I definitely reccommend it.

Ah, finally, an immensely enjoyable fanfic set after the ending of the series. The only stand-out negative in my mind is that Vash seems slightly OOC - he doesn't have nearly the same level of emotional intensity as depicted in both the anime and manga. However, this is only a minor detraction in an otherwise compelling "philosophical battle-of-wits between brothers" story. The arguments of both Vash and Knives are well-thought out and in-line with the modus operandi of the characters. The spider and butterlfy argument is a great metaphor for so many things. It reminds us that there are no easy choices, at least, nt for thinking, feeling people. Bravo on a terrific ending! Even in a stalemate situation there is always the opprotunity to re-set the board and start again. My only non-constructive piece of criticism: I would have liked the story to be longer, but that's simply a personal preference. This is the first story ANYWHERE that I have felt like reviewing (and I've read thounands of fanfics) so takt that for what you will.

Very nice. A good tribute piece. Well written. And a flowing argument from both sides. However, I am Pro-Death penalty and that makes me more like Knives. ( Does that make me loose the argument, automatically? /\_/\) We are human. We have the ability to do good or evil. That is why when we choose the later, we must pay for the crime. Not revenge....simply cause and effect in my eyes. A problem must be fixed. An obstacle to peace and progress must be removed. Evil, in the fundamental sense of that which moves against basic human rights/justice/reason must be eliminated. But I also understand Vash. I do not eagerly seek death if renewal is possible. I do not wish to destroy that which we might rebuild. However, I just find it unlikely hat most people will change once they select a certain path. We are not spiders...but most humans fail to recognize how wonderful they could be....how very good. Knives is also wrong about plants being 'innocent.' They take life to sustain their existence. Plants usually require the earth's nutrients but most nutrients are put back into the earth by dead matter; animals or other plant life. The Venus Fly Trap eats living organisms. And there are parasitic plants, like the mistletoe, that feeds directly from their host. ( Take that Knives!!! ) :) Just wanted to you to know I read over this with all seriousness. And I thought a serious story deserved a serious review....(Hope it came out that way) Thank you for the read.
