Wow! That was a really great fic! I must admit that that was the first fic I've read that's set in the Hyotei arc. I really like your fic though. But...I still can't believe that in the episodes, he cut off his hair? His hair was like his trademark! ...*sweatdrop* Sorry! I'm getting off track. Anyway, I love your ability to show how Shishido was feeling, why he felt it, and how he felt it. I'm surprised that this fic hasn't gotten lots and lots of reviews, but that almost seems natural with the very few Tennis No Ohjisama fans on mediaminer.org. But I guess that makes what few fans Tennis No Ohjisama has really quite unique, right? Now.... Good luck if you plan on writing more fics, 'cause I'm rooting for you! I love your style, and from what I've seen, this is one of the few fics that really shines! The words sing to your soul and leave you itching for more. If you were to create your own characters and have your own storylins, I'm pretty sure that you would be able to sell a lot! I hope that if you don't feel like doing that, you won't feel offended. I suppose that I better end this review now, and to summarize it, I guess I would say: I love this fic, and I'm rooting for you if you decide to move on to other things. Hopefully yo u'll write more fics that will leave people at the edge of their seats like this one. I enjoy this greatly and am looking forward to more delightful things from you. That probably would be everything and anything to say. ~T

Wow. I'm shocked that you fic hasn't received oodles of reviews by now, because it was excellent! I'm more of a Fudo-what girl, but you really captured the cold beauty of Hyotei and its team members in this work. Mild fic spoilers below... I was pretty shocked by Shishido's scenes in the anime...when he cut off his hair and took a beating against Ohtori's Scud serve. You did a great job with Shishido's characterization, and the contrast with Ohtori's softer nature. The scenes where Shishido's looking at his face in the mirror, and when Ohtori is counting all the bruises, were especially well done. I also liked how Ohtori referred to Shishido first as "senpai", then "Shishido-san"- a subtle change that reflects your understanding of Japanese honorifics. :) One more comment...the shift from Ohtori's first-person POV in the first section to the third person in the rest of the fic is a bit jarring. Have you ever thought of separating the first bit into a prologue, or switching to thrid-person POV for the entire fic? Again, congrats on producing such a neat little gem. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more of your work! -Psy
