I read this on Memorial Day, which added to its power and emotion. This was very well written, and the fact that the makeshift cemetary had such a simple name -- "Flanders Field" -- made the story feel all the more believable. It was a simple, well-placed touch that worked wonderfully! Bulma's refusal to forget was heartbreaking and gave depth to her character. It was also a great idea when it came to her motivation to build the time machine. This one is just terrific!

Fabulous fic. It really captured the way future Bulma was feeling. I loved when she got to Vegeta's grave, thinking there could have been something she could have said or done to make him stay, the fact that he went to Trunks before going off to fight. Thanks for sharing this story.

*Gulp* I feel so sad now. Mirai Bulma was always one of my favourite characters, and you painted her strength and courage perfectly. I loved the way you captured the hopeless despair that they felt after Goku's death, I felt a rising panic myself that he wouldn't be there to make the bad things 'go away'. The Trunks special is one of my favourite parts of DBZ, you've managed to capture the dark, desperate feel of that and expand on it. I swear I had tears in my eyes over Gohan, and felt even worse for Poor Bulma at her inability to stop Vegeta going to his death. The use of Flanders Fields made this beautiful, touching story even more poignant - thank you for thinking of it, writing, and sharing this with us.

God that was sad! Well written, but now I'm really depressed. I suppose that means you did a good job though. :)

this is a lovely one-shot. For some reason the description of Piccolo made me get a lump in my throat. I was afraid I was going to bawl (I'm a sucker for Mirai Bulma fics) but the last parts were restrained and simple and therefore more poignant--not a tearjerker, a quiet little study of characters Bulma loved and characters we love too... I can't believe you figued out the italics thing. I'd noticed paragraphs that started in italics never worked on mm.org and now I know! Nice story, thanks for writing it!

*sniff* This is such a lovely fic. You hit all the right notes--the memories, the emotions, the way Bulma continues on the way we all must when death takes those we love. The ending is perfect. Echoes the begining and sparks hope in our hearts. Beautiful! ts.
