A nice dark twist on the Inuyasha-Kikyo betrayal. Though it does make it less logical that resurrected Kikyo would seek revenge, as seems implied at the end of chapter 16. I mean, she's not confronted with the notion that everything she shared with Inuyasha was a lie so he could kill her and steal the jewel as she is in the original story. Just that Inuyasha wasn't quite as noble, innocent, and harmless as she had thought, his violent reaction to her perceived betrayal even serving as a possible affirmation that what they had shared had been real to him. While I'm sure she would still feel betrayed, the overriding feeling should be sadness and regret, her being aware that his betrayal was caused by her own betrayal first, something I don't think she would overlook. She certainly seemed wrought with guilt over it on the night she died. For answers, closure, peace of mind I can see her seeking him out, but not for revenge. But the end of chapter 16 was vague enough that maybe you were being tricksy, just trying to make people THINK she's after revenge, and everything I just said spoiled your fun. In which case, oops.

FYI: You're only supposed to link to 1 chapter at a time for an FFRG submission. I guess you didn't know this. Characters: the characters are very like the series. However, your characters are a bit sketchy; maybe trying to explain their thoughts more would help. Plot: Good Job! However, the plot is a little confusing. I suspect that is because your chapters are on the dense side; important things happen really fast, without much writing in between them. Another way to help might be to have more extraneous things in the plot; sub plots and random encounters and stuff like that. Writing: Very good. Only problem is that you tend to bunch things together a bit; if you maybe described the surroundings and where the characters are in the scene, it might help. This is hard to do; I like to let things sit for a few days and then read over them again to see how many words actually describe the scene as opposed to characters and their thoughts. This might also help with the confusing problem. Overall: Great job! I hope you continue; it's hard to find fics as good as this one.

First, I agree! Wada is the most impressive composer! I also hold the WIND CD and even got my mom hooked on it! Ahh, the power of ggod music. Kind of like the power of a good story!
