I liked the premises and the new outlook on the post-adventure characters. The idea that giving up the power of the crests could affect the destined in.... unexpected ways is also a fascinating one to explore. But the angst! oh, the angst! I'm only writing this because I'm not normally one for angst. I definitely think that would be a fitting category for the fic.
