This is a pretty well-written story. I was wary at first, as the character had a very quick introduction, but the story smoothed out soon. As the character is a (good!) Mary Sue, I'm liking the progression. (Subtle plug for Arkaidy's "Slipstream" for good Mary Sues). Waiting to see how the plot unfolds.
