Even if never completed, the concept for this story alone is good enough to make it a worthwhile read. On top of that, I love the reference to Shadow's Rebirth, it's an old favorite story of mine. However, if you ever continued this story (or are still thinking about returning to it) I have two things to point out. First, note that Cortiolis (sp?) weave, a rare mineral, can block, negate or even shut off a lightsaber blade. This is something Ranma will ahve to be wary of. In addition, using hyperspace to go to another galaxy would take centuries of travel, at the very least. As it was explained in one of the early expanded universe books, it took at least 2 weeks to go from Endor to an outer ring outpost to deal with a serious conflict. I don't remember the name of the book, but I wanted to point it out to you. Traveling from one end of the galaxy to the other, using the best hyperspace routes can take 3 to 6 months at the very least, and distance from one galaxy to another is even longer, unless there's a shortcut that Ranma will use.
