Yay! Good ink work! It's so hard to find on MediaMiner these days...anyway... ^_^; I like your use of lines on this piece. The outline of the guy, the outlines in the background and foreground, and the outlines of the leaves are all very bold and yet don't detract from the feel of the image. I have to agree with a couple of others that the leaves could use more variation to create more highlights/shadows, but otherwise the lining on them looks wonderful. The only parts that really bothered me were the line that runs the right about 1/4 of the way from the bottom and running toward the lower left, dragging across the parallel diagonal strokes. I'm not quite sure why it's there, or if it was an accident, but it looks odd. ^_^; Also, the shadows underneath the guy look very scribbly - with the uniform look of the rest of the lines, it may have been better to try close-knit crosshatching. His right arm (his right, not the picture's right) looks to be at a weird angle, but I'm not sure if the guy's arm is able to do that, so if it is able to, just ignore this line. ^_^; I like the red eyes with the white around them - it's very striking and draws the focus of the picture toward the center. Overall, a 10-rating pic! - Lady Macbeth

i honestly do not see how you can draw with a pen. it's just...impossible for me personally to do. although i honestly do like this picture, there are several things about it that do bother me. i do understand this is a quick sketch...but it needs some more details. the leaves above the character, for instance, could use varying shades of shadow, midtone, and highlight. and show where the darker shadow would be where one leaf crosses over another. i like the character, especially his crimson eyes....the pose is original, and your anatomy balances out very well. the ground seems a bit 'rough' compared to the obvious effort put into the sky. over all nice job...and i have to second bratkitty....do you ever color your work? :p

The lines are cool! Good foreshortening too, but his right (our left) arm is a tad too big. I like the red eyes, very creepy. The lines in the background are a tad busy, but good if you're doodling with pens. Do you ever do colored work?! Anyways, great sketch, as always.

Great use of line! However, the leaves on the top strike me as too much of the same thing. I suggest breaking them apart with some varied shading. Yeah, I know it's not exactly the style you might be going for, but you put shadows underneath the creepy guy, right? Also, compositionally, I don't feel so hot about the decision to put your horizon line & the guy at the halfway point in the pic. It makes viewing somewhat awkward. Again, very interesting style. I hope to see more.

Wonderfully done however work on the left arm, foreshortening is a hard thing to do but the position of his arm seems a bit wrong to me. Very nice work with the line technique it makes it seem like it's raining and the use of black adds to the dreary mood. The red eyes draws the viewers attention to his face and the intensity of his expression. His face and the pose that you put him in also involves the viewer, making them think that in essence he is the hunter and the viewer is the prey. Overall wonderfully done Destiny

kool its jason! mwaha, j/k, i can't believe u did this all w/ a pen! the crosshatching, esp on the leaves looks awesome, and the bg looks really good! well no suggestions w/ the drawing itself here, tho i would recommend using a different medium. if ure art looks this amazing w/ pens and lines only (and while u were supposed to b studying! tsk tsk) just imagine how professional it would look w/ paints or crayon pencils? well as always, i applaud ure greatness yada yada yada lol keep it up man!

Your line art is great. It's amazing what can be done with line only. I realy like how you used the red (in his eyes) to draw the viewerw eye to the figure when normally it would go to the darkest part of the work which would be the bg. Its very well balanced with the forgroud on the left heavy and the bg on the right more predominate. The only thing I see is that the bg on the right side doesn't meet the end of the page where as the rest of the work does. *shudders* I feel like the prey here.
