Mountain
Within days of travel, Aka-Kenshin and Kaoru came to the mountains. The semi angel knew an old route through them to a small village. He would hide Kaoru there for the time being and then come to get a power boost from her in the night. This village was very religion-friendly, so the angels of Heaven would respect and let the people carry on with their peaceful lives. Aka-Kenshin knew the people at the village too well. They were such good souls. The people wouldn't even hurt a fly. So surely, they would welcome a runaway teenaged girl with open arms into their village to stay for a while. He knew because this is where he escaped after the Rat Pack tried to murder him. A young village girl found him floating on his back badly injured. In a panic, she took him to the doctor. The people took special care of the wounded fallen angel. Aka-Kenshin was confused at why these people were so nice to him for. Usually, humans were scared to death of him. Then the most disturbing epiphany came to him. The fallen angel realized that these people thought he was Kami or a saint! “But I don't even look like an angel!” he thought to himself in shock. But then another shock arrived to him in flash.
Aka-Kenshin walked over to the river. When he saw his reflection, the fallen angel saw that his wings weren't pure cold black anymore. They were a deep grey color. That only meant one thing. He was turning back into an angel. This of course was not a good thing for the newly becoming angel. At first, he tried to think of ways to stay fallen. But each plan he had backfired on Aka-Kenshin. The people just found good in his actions. “What the fuck is wrong with these people?” the newly becoming semi fallen angel thought. Over time, Aka-Kenshin became use to his change and grew to actually care about the people in the village. Aka-Kenshin stayed there for ten years until he felt it was time to move on. So one night, he just got up wandered to get stronger and find various women to sleep around with.
Aka-Kenshin held Kaoru onto his back to keep her close. Her feet were still sore from all of the blood blisters she had got on them. Sure Aka-Kenshin had healed them, (He only did it to shut her up about the pain she felt in them.) but it would take days for his powers to take full effect. Temperature wasn't a problem either, Aka-Kenshin had his internal body heat to sustain them both throughout the whole trip. So they were perfectly fine. The semi-angel just needed to keep on his guard in case the Rat Pack or the angels came to attack them.
Kaoru seemed to be asleep on her semi angel's back. She looked so peaceful. His wings seemed to be a perfect shield for her from the sun high in the sky. It almost gave him a warm sentimental feeling in his cold dark soul. But not really. Aka-Kenshin could smell the wisteria blossoms strongly on her small warm body. It made him slightly dizzy but he managed to pull through perfectly. “She smells like her! But why?” Aka-Kenshin thought in concern. What the hell did it matter anyway? The sooner he dumped this dense tart off at the village the better. That would leave him plenty of time and space to plot how to get revenge on the Rat Pack and fend off the angels from Heaven that would be after her any minute that they were in a weak moment. But the vessel just didn't care. Kaoru was smiling peacefully in her dreaming state.
To tell the truth, she wasn't asleep at all! The vessel decided to pretend to be asleep so Aka-Kenshin wouldn't give annoyed by the sound of her sweet voice. In fact, Kaoru was remembering her childhood. When she was eight years old, she and her parents went to the mountains for a vacation to visit her grandfather. One day in the spring, Kaoru's father took her out for a walk with him. They came to the cliff of the mountain. Little Kaoru was amazed at the view from the top. Her father held her tightly to insure her that she wouldn't fall just as long as he was with her. “You see the sun?” he asked her. “Uh-huh.” young Kaoru replied. “It is the light of the world.” the father went on. “It almost reminds me of an old curse.” Kaoru turned to him in intrigue. “A curse?” she asked in surprise. “What kind of curse?” The father acted as if he told her too much when he wasn't supposed to as he turned to look away from his daughter. “Oh dear!” he exclaimed in fake shock. “I shouldn't have said that!” Kaoru kept looking at him in curiosity. “Why?” she asked. “It's nothing.” the father insisted. “I'll tell you when you're older!” Now, Kaoru was really interested. “Why? Tell me now! I know want to know what the curse is!” she demanded. The father turned to his little daughter laughing. He was smiling big for her. The man looked around innocently. Then he faced his daughter really close. “Can you keep a secret, Kaoru-chan?” he asked in a low playfully whisper. The girl nodded her head quickly. The father innocently smiled at her. “Come here.” he whispered. Kaoru leaned her ear for him to listen to as he spilled the secret curse of the mountain. He is what he told him:

The soft wind delivers a fleet of sisters from the Heavens

They will attack the sweet vessel of the fallen

The innocent will aid them and their master

But a cold red wolf will guard and use the vessel to overpower
the wolves that betrayed him, the holy sisters, and their master

A puppy will join the cold wolf and the vessel to bring down the
other wolves, holy sisters, and master

The cold wolf will bite and maim one of the sisters
and make her dance will the fallen

The fallen she-wolf will in turn open the vessel's eyes
to her true nature

The she-wolf in turn will bite and maim her former
master and drag him down to the land of the dead

The grieving holy sisters will avenge their former
master by killing the she-wolf

The grieving vessel and the puppy in turn will
force open the fiery gates to wipe out the
wolves and the sisters

When the sea of blood is split, the wisteria angel
will arise and purify Heaven and Hell again to
its original light

As a child, it didn't make any sense to Kaoru. But now, it makes a little sense. But what did it all mean? Pretty soon, the answer would all be revealed.
