Chapter 12: Handling the truth.

A/n: Thanks Psycho-Demoness...you put a smile on my face as does everyone else who reviews. My lovely faithful reviewer: blows kisses:

Kagome and Kouga were tearing up the dance floor, the music was loud and there was a crowd that cheered them on. Kouga meant what he said when he said he was a great dancer. Kagome could see it for, herself as Kouga spun her around, and even she was barely keeping up with his pace.

Damn, Kagome thought as she smiled brightly. I am having so much fun with Kouga that it's weird.

Kagome swayed her body from side to side as Kouga brought her close to his chest where their bodies moved in rhythm with each other at the sound of the dance music. Sango had been talking to this guy she met there. He wasn't the best thing in the world to look at but he seemed to have made her laugh - or perhaps it was the drinks from the bar they were standing at.

Drink till he's cute, Kagome thought and laughed to herself.

Kagome knew she didn't have to; Kouga was handsome, and in great shape - when their bodies were close together she definitely found that out quick.

"Where did you learn how to move like this?" Kagome asked as purple, pink and blue lights began to flash over them from the ceiling of the club. "You're better than even I expected."

Kouga smirked as he brought her face to his and whispered in her ear, "Practice, like with anything else."

Kagome smiled slightly and carried on dancing. The way he answered her was different than the regular way he would speak. Kouga seemed to have said it with a deep tone of voice that made the hair's on the back of her neck stand up.

It was only a matter of time I suppose... Kagome realized.

Kouga's mask looked somewhat like Zorro's; it was black and you had to tie it in the back. The mask only gave his naturally good looks a dark mysterious edge, which had some of the women at the club staring from the side.

I have an idea... Kagome smirked deviously.

"Kouga-kun," Kagome leaned her face over next to his to say in his ear, "All those girls are looking at you. If you keep dancing with me, they might avoid approaching you - thinking we're together."

"I don't mind," Kouga answered back as he took her hand and made her sway side to side with him.

Oh my god...

Kagome could feel Kouga's hand placed on her back as the other gripped her hand as grinded up close to her.

Oh my god!

"He's so cute!" A girl yelled.

"Damn sexy!" Another yelled.

Kagome suddenly felt like a frog dancing with a prince because of the loud outbursts of women. Pretty women, that was young, dressed well - and available for Kouga.

I think I should let Kouga dance with one of these girls. Unlike me, they seem to be interested in him - genuinely.

Kagome stopped moving suddenly and Kouga looked at her dismayed.

"Is something wrong?" Kouga asked immediately.

"Nah, I think I'm going to sit this one out," Kagome turned towards Sango, "I'll leave you to your admirers."

Kouga only flashed the women halfway glances, "I guess, since you're tired, but promise me we'll dance one last time before the night is over."

That's innocent enough...

Kagome turned around slightly at his request, "I promise."

"Great," Kouga said and practically threw himself into the garden of his admirers.

That went well, Kagome rolled her eyes as she approached her friend who seemed to be surrounded by three other men now.

It never takes a great deal of time for Sango to attract flies, Kagome thought. Now I am all by myself in a big place. One minute I'm having fun and the next...

Kagome snorted as she suddenly stood still between crowds of dancing people.

At least, the night started off somewhat good. I got to dance, I'm still wearing a weird mask, and my feet didn't begin to hurt yet. Should I go home now? That would be selfish of me to suddenly want to leave when Kouga and Sango were having a good time. I should just sit down somewhere and relax; wait till the party animals were ready to leave to spare myself from guilt.

Kagome found a table in the corner of the dance floor beside others that were occupied by people talking amongst themselves. She sat back in her chair and tapped her fingernail against the table; seconds passed and she was dreadfully bored.

How did you get involved in this shit? Her inner voice asked.

I have no idea; Kagome placed her bag in her lap and glanced at her wrist watch momentarily.

11:30PM

Kagome rolled her eyes.

If it's only this time, Kagome wondered, which is damn early for Sango...

Kagome slouched back disappointed.

I'm going to die right here in this fucking chair listening to this loud music that's not even cool anymore. Maybe it's not cool when you're sitting down. It seemed to be cool music when I was dancing. Heh, what a change...

"Kagome-chan," a voice said behind her.

Kagome eyes widened as she turned around.

Who...oh...

It was Naraku, even when he wore a white baboon mask...she could tell it was him by the dark hair falling over his shoulders.

"Sango's over there," Kagome pointed, "Behind that whole mess of guys."

Kagome didn't need to see Naraku's face to know he was pissed, "Thank you."

Kagome winced when she saw Naraku storm towards Sango.

I wonder how that'll turn out; Kagome shrugged and carried on sitting back in her chair.

Fifteen minutes passed but Kagome felt like it was forever; slouching in her chair eventually led her to practically lying on it - infected with the boredom disease.

I want to go home, I want to go home, Kagome chanted. Let me out of this hell...let me...

Kagome stopped chanting when a song began to play that she was all too familiar with. It was a song from Japan; it was shocking that they would play it in an American club where people were beautifully clueless to the translation of it. That song was the song Kagome favored above all other songs.

Kagome sat up and listened to the beautiful rhythm of it that seemed to hold its own power - a special kind of beauty. Kagome could even recall the English translation of it.

It began...

In the extent that we live...

We lose things little by little...

Seeking the light we believe in

Now I begin my walk with you

Kagome sat back down and frowned, she suddenly recalled her and Inuyasha slow dancing to the song as it played on the radio. Kagome had felt particularly alone that night and needed reassurance that she wasn't alone. He had been there for her...and now at a time where she wished someone could share the meaning - no one understood.

Now I really want to go home now...

Kagome looked around her and saw that even though there were people who didn't understand the meaning, they still slow danced to the song. Even far away she could see Kouga dancing with a girl - dancing particularly close. Then something entered her heart - something that she ignored even if it did exist in the back of her mind. It was what every single person denied to themselves at some point in their single life.

It was a longing.

Even though Kagome enjoyed being single sometimes, it never compared to the feeling of another. To be in the arms of someone you loved and trusted, to feel their soul even to hear their heart beat - knowing they loved you...

And knowing you loved them...

She had that with Inuyasha, but he was gone. He had betrayed her, or at least she thought. It hurt - still hurts.

I can't take it anymore!

Kagome got up and stormed for the exit of the club, she didn't even bother to see if Naraku met up with Sango or to tell Kouga that she was leaving. Why should she even allow them to see her so melancholy when last she checked they were enjoying themselves while she was recalling and longing in a corner while everyone who came to that club was having a good time.

And they should very well be having a good time.

Kagome silently wished that she didn't hear that song; the song's lyrics seemed to be emotionally skewering her as she heard the part that she and Inuyasha kissed to.

Hidden into a very deep forest now...

...is my heart that I left alone.

If I know the rhythm of time...

I will once fly again.

Kagome fought to hold back the tears; she almost took comfort in the darkness of the club as she slowly made her way through the crowds of people slowly dancing to the beautiful song that only seemed to bring her torment just then. Kagome recalled the particular lyric...

If I know the rhythm of time I will once fly again.

Kagome didn't know anymore. All she felt was that coming to that club was a lie. Kagome was a wreck inside - she always tried to bury her thoughts of Inuyasha but they would always resurface when she was alone. So that was the answer. She was always alone...and she probably would stay alone.

"Excuse me," Kagome felt warm tears stain the mask she forgot she wore. Who would think of a mask when troubling thoughts came to mind? Thoughts that affected Kagome even now as she broke through the crowd, "Pardon me."

We wander

"Sorry," Kagome squeezed through a locked couple.

And live to the utmost

"I'm really sorry," Kagome moved sideways passed another couple.

Seeking the light we believe in

"Excuse me," Kagome stood as the woman stepped aside, "Thank you, Ma'am."

Now I began my walk with you

Suddenly a man stopped in front of her and took her hand, bringing her close to his chest.

I am not in the mood...

"No thank you," Kagome looked up at him, her eyes widened and quickly she brought her head back down.

Oh my god...

He began to move her away from the exit little by little and Kagome did nothing to stop him.

What am I doing?

The man wore a white mask with long feathers sticking out on the sides of it and purple coloring in the eye alignment along with glitter to make it almost sparkle; it only stopped at his nose, however, making the sight of his lips evident. The crescent moon located at the forehead of the mask was the best addition.

Kagome couldn't get a good glimpse of his hair color; it was dark in the club and the lights were ever flashing. She had assumed it was very light - perhaps blond, but all she could ever make out from the beginning was the mask and how even the little part of his face that stuck out seemed to arouse her interest in seeing more.

Why am I still dancing? Kagome wondered. I'm going home, I'm going home!

Kagome made no movement to resist him, the warmth she felt by being so near to his chest was almost too familiar, but she wasn't sure, and it was incredibly rude to rip someone's mask right off their face.

I should tell him to stop, and to let me go...

Another slow song began to play, one that didn't bring out a painful memory, one that brought no memory at all; a song that opened a door for a new memory - with a stranger.

It began...

Should I try to deny these feelings?

Is this alright? Kagome wondered. Is it alright to allow this to continue?

Hidden in my heart for you that's revealing

She made no move to stop him as she gave into his embrace, while he touched her hand with his right and her lower back with his left.

When there was nobody else

As I danced by myself

Kagome breathe in his scent, and found herself enraptured in the smell of Ralph Polo cologne. She placed her free hand on his shoulder as they swayed back and forth slowly in rhythm with the song's melody.

Now since you're holding me in your arms

It's clear where I belong...

Is this alright...?

Kagome suddenly felt the man's hand raise from below her lower back to the back of her head where the mask's rubber band was located. Even in this action Kagome continued to dance with him, the warmth radiating from his chest and the smell of his cologne left her too entranced to even bring her focus to even the motions of where his hand was going.

Which; was bad.

I choose you, and I won't deny my feelings

It was always you that sent my heart a reeling

Kagome's mask fell right off her face soon after the man sliced it with his nail.

It was then reality came crashing into her. Kagome felt her face where the mask once was and realized it wasn't there, just right after the man drew his fingernail lightly down her back to resume its place on her lower.

Up and beyond the clouds to space

And in the end all it took was your face

"My mask," Kagome said aloud, but it was a whisper. "My mask fell off."

He ignored her quote and began to grind her close to him; sway her. Kagome could feel his leg between hers before he swayed her to the side where he bent her down and her hair fell graciously back; in that position her eyes stared into his...

That's a beauty ahead of its time

That I know will always be mine

Yet still...she couldn't tell the color of his eyes, the darkness of the club prevented it.

"I choose you," Kagome said as he brought her close to his chest again. "This song - I don't know who it's by."

There was still no answer from him.

Kagome frowned.

With you I'm at my best

There's no longer a need to seek happiness

I guess that's all I'm going to get from this guy so I shouldn't even bother to speak to him or bother to dance with him...but I want to.

There's not much about being single I'll miss

You proved it with your kiss

He then brushed his face against hers and whispered, "You have no idea who I am, do you?"

It's you before me and I don't need to read between the lines

You're the only man I'd choose to be mine

The hairs on the back of Kagome's neck stood up, she could never forget that voice in her wildest dreams...

"Sesshomaru," Kagome gasped, she stepped back and looked at his body fully. "You..."

Beautiful Sesshomaru...how could I have not known? How could I be so blind...?

Sesshomaru removed the mask and there Kagome could see two stripes on each side of his upper cheeks and a crescent moon on his forehead. It brought a smile to her face.

"I didn't expect to see you here," Sesshomaru was interrupted by Kagome wrapping her arms around his neck. "Kagome..."

Kagome kissed his lips suddenly without a hint of warning.

And the song concluded...

I choose you...

Sesshomaru's eyes widened as Kagome kissed him back; he wrapped his arms around her bringing her so close to him that he brought her feet right off the ground.

Kagome could feel her tongue dance around his in her mouth, her arm around his neck tighten as the kiss roughened.

Beautiful Sesshomaru...

Kagome suddenly brought her face away from his to place her hands on his cheeks to bring him into a new and fairly passionate kiss.

I was standing here so sad, Kagome thought. I was trying to get out of here, I may not have known it was you Sesshomaru, but body did. Your lips, your soft rose petal lips against mine, your hard chest, and your warmth...your tongue...

Kagome was aroused just thinking about it as she suddenly broke the kiss, while breathing heavily.

Sesshomaru looked down at her, his face overwhelmed with confusion, "I take it that you're happy to see me."

Kagome blushed, realizing that she just kissed him with such a force that she herself didn't believe she was capable of, "Sorry..."

"There's no need to apologize," Sesshomaru flashed Kagome a reassuring smirk, "I would've done it to you, but I didn't want - I didn't even expect to see you again."

Kagome was confused, "What?"

"Dance with me," Sesshomaru brought Kagome close to him and began to lead as he said, "What happened yesterday or rather the day after yesterday since, it's midnight now - I thought you might not have wanted to see me after that."

Kagome got even more aroused when she remembered how he had her against the bed, banging his tongue against her nub and pounding her with his finger.

"Y-you," Kagome stuttered just then, "didn't force me to do anything. I don't want to admit it - but I liked it-"

"You did admit it," Sesshomaru reminded.

Kagome's face matched a tomato.

Heh, guess I did.

"But I wouldn't," Kagome swallowed, "stop seeing you because of that night. I like you, maybe too much so it's not shocking on why it happened so suddenly."

"Why did it happen?" Sesshomaru slightly baited.

Kagome placed her head against his chest and bit her bottom lip.

Uh...it happened...isn't that enough?

"I'm waiting," Sesshomaru spoke softly.

"You pissed me off," Kagome looked up at him and when she saw his golden eyes staring down at hers - she lowered her head again. "You turned me on and I turned you on so when you couldn't help but kiss me - I couldn't help but to have you touch me."

"Tonight you found out how I felt."

I did?

"I did?" Kagome looked up at him, "Explain, please."

Sesshomaru chuckled, "You saw me and you kissed me. You may have wanted to kiss me a good deal tonight, that's why you did it forcefully, but I've wanted to kiss you for the longest now. I was tempted many times to kiss you amongst other things I assure you."

"I think you're beautiful," Kagome said as she stared into his eyes, "kind, sweet, gentle, strong and passionate. When you kissed me, you awakened a part of me that no man has ever. I needed you to touch me afterwards; I needed to know what it felt like to have you - even for a moment."

Sesshomaru suddenly stopped moving and they stood facing each other.

"I told myself to stop," Kagome admitted, "to tell you to stop, and I said nothing because I couldn't. I couldn't and didn't want to. That night I contradicted everything I said about losing your virginity for love. All you had to do Sesshomaru was just - I wouldn't have stopped you. I know I wouldn't have."

Sesshomaru grabbed her and danced with her as he whispered in her ear, "Let's talk in a more private setting."

Yea...

"Yea," Kagome nodded, "Let me tell Sango that I'm leaving."

"Okay," Sesshomaru nodded then asked suspiciously, "Who's Sango again?"

"My best friend," Kagome gave Sesshomaru the once over.

"Hey Kagome," Kouga yelled as he waved and began to approach her from the far end.

Kagome looked up at Sesshomaru and saw how Sesshomaru glared at Kouga.

Oh no...

"Kagome," Kouga broke through the crowd to reach her. He hadn't notice Sesshomaru standing there yet, "Can I get that last dance you promised me."

Sesshomaru suddenly stepped in front of Kagome, "She's on her way out."

Kouga's eyes widened at the sight of him, Kouga didn't back down however, he returned Sesshomaru's glare, "Look what the dog dragged in."

Kagome's heart began to race, even though the music was loud, she could still hear it.

I've got to intervene.

"Ok, one dance Kouga," Kagome stepped from behind Sesshomaru, "T-then I'm going ok-"

"Sure," Kouga shrugged and took Kagome's hand, "One last dance."

As Kagome went to Kouga she could feel Sesshomaru's eyes burn through the back of her shirt.

No...I can't...he's pissed.

"No," Kagome took her hand back. "I'm sorry. I'm with Sesshomaru and I don't want to leave him."

Kouga frowned, "I understand. He is your boyfriend."

"I'm not her boyfriend," Sesshomaru corrected.

Oh my god!

Kouga glared at Sesshomaru just then as he confronted him, "You know, I thought you were an ass hole before, but now I know you're a walking piece of shit. Kagome told me you were her boyfriend - and you deny that shit now? Why would you embarrass her like that? Saying you're not her boyfriend out loud when you are."

Oh my god...

"No, Kouga I mean," Kagome got in front of Kouga, "What I meant before was that-"

"Ignorant bastard," Sesshomaru said scornfully. "Kagome is my friend and it's rude to go around lying to people when she didn't agree to be my girlfriend."

"Kagome told me you were her boyfriend," Kouga snapped.

Sesshomaru chuckled, "Heh, maybe to shake off your hungry wolf ass."

No, no, no. I can't believe this is happening right now. I don't believe this! No, Kouga, I shouldn't have lied...

"Is that true?" Kouga looked at Kagome, "Did you lie to me just because you were afraid I was going to ask you out?"

"Kouga," Kagome pleaded. "That's not true - listen to me-"

"Go find some place to else to place your mark;" Sesshomaru said coldly, "It's obvious you're not wanted."

Kouga...

A crowd was slowly forming around them, and the club bouncers were making their way to them to prevent a brawl.

"Kouga, listen to me," Kagome approach him again.

Kouga rose up his hands in defeat as he said softly, "It's ok; no hard feelings...I'm sorry I made you lie. I'm sorry I bothered you."

Kouga turned around and walked off.

"Kouga-kun," Kagome yelled, "Kouga - please!"

"Don't worry about him," Sesshomaru took her hand as she stared at Kouga walking away till he disappeared into the crowd, "He won't be bothering you again."

"He wasn't, he didn't," Kagome's heart was broken as she said slowly, "did you, did you have to say that to him?"

"Correction," Sesshomaru said as Kagome turned around to look at him. "It's what you said to him. You lied to him."

Now I am regretful...

"You know," Kagome's voice cracked as her eyes watered, "I lied to him because I am interested in you. I was interested in the beautiful, strong, passionate, kind, sweet and gentle Sesshomaru. Two days is not enough to really get to know someone apparently. It's situations like this that makes me see that."

"You don't see many things, Kagome."

"What?" Kagome's eyes widened. "I obviously don't if I wanted to be with you."

Kagome could feel the tears roll down her face.

I can't look at him...

Kagome turned around and walked away.

I have to get out of here...I feel so stupid!

The bouncers noticed the crowd was dancing again and they assumed they're posts.

This can't be happening, Kagome thought as she cried. This can't be happening.

"Kagome-chan," Sango hopped down from the stool at the bar when she noticed Kagome friend wiping her face. "Kagome, Kagome!"

I got to get out of this place. Kagome continued to wipe her eyes. Everyone around me is wearing masks and I couldn't see the person right before my eyes that was a lie...that didn't need a mask to cover the kind of person he was.

You don't see many things, Kagome.

He's right. I don't see anything. I didn't see that Inuyasha would one day betray me by becoming a porn star and I didn't think that Sesshomaru...

"Kagome," Sesshomaru said from behind her, "let's talk about this."

Kagome's eyes burned with fury as she turned around and yelled, "Talk about what? You said I don't see many things. You're a liar. You make people think you're wonderful when you're just cruel. I don't know many things...I wanted to be with you, and now I want you to get the fuck away from me. That's the ONLY thing I know right now."

"I want to be with you too," Sesshomaru began. "I didn't do anything or lie to you or treated you wrong. I respect you; that's why I corrected Kouga when he thought we were together. You never told me you wanted to be with me, I won't allow myself to get hurt by lying even to myself about us being together. I am not wearing a mask, you are."

I am...

"No I am not," Kagome turned around and stormed towards the exit.

"Kagome wait," Sesshomaru followed her.

"Leave me alone," Kagome rushed passed the bouncers and out of the club, Sesshomaru still on her heels. "Go away!"

"Listen!" Sesshomaru suddenly snapped.

Kagome's eyes widened.

He snapped...

Kagome turned around, "You snapped at me..."

"Don't think it can't happen," Sesshomaru pointed out. "I try to keep my cool, but don't believe for a second I am incapable of yelling as well."

Kagome rolled her eyes and carried on walking down the street.

Like I care at this point...

"Fine," Sesshomaru chuckled, "walk away. Ignore me, like you ignore your feelings."

Kagome kept walking.

Don't turn around...

"I may have taken that mask you wore in the club off," Sesshomaru's lips curled to form a smile. "Yet, I don't believe anyone can take off the one you still have on."

Kagome turned around and yelled, "Stop saying that! You don't know me."

Sesshomaru grabbed her arm forcefully turned her around to face him, "No one is going to know you if you don't cut the shit."

Cut the shit...

"Let go!"

"You were most honest when you kissed me," Sesshomaru spoke so softly now that it seemed to paralyze Kagome.

Walk away...

"In that moment I knew you wanted me," Sesshomaru stared into her eyes now, "as much as I wanted you. For the second time you didn't deny it - like you didn't deny how good it felt to be touched by me in your bed."

"I lied," Kagome snapped.

"If I kiss you now," Sesshomaru smiled deviously again, "will you show me how much you wanted me before?"

Kagome's jaw dropped.

No...

"I can't believe you bringing that up!" Kagome looked away.

"I want to taste you again Kagome," Sesshomaru whispered in her ear. "I can do it while you're standing, you know."

"Stop it," Kagome said sternly. "What happened before in my house will NOT happen again."

Sesshomaru chuckled just then, "You're right."

You bet I am right...

"Damn right," Kagome said as she poked his chest, "TOO right."

"Next time," Sesshomaru moved a lock of hair that fell to the side of his face behind his ear. "Next time, I'll have a funeral service for your hymen."

Kagome couldn't help herself, she laughed.

Stop laughing...let him now you're pissed, she told herself.

Kagome couldn't help herself, she was laughing loudly at his statement; it was just a statement she didn't expect him to make.

Sesshomaru took her hand and brought her to his chest, "I want you to be with me so next time you won't have to lie."

Kagome laughed again, she covered her mouth to hide it.

Don't laugh; you are supposed to be a mad lion, but...but...

"You're an ass hole," Kagome said through chuckles, "With, with marks on your face."

Kagome laughed hard when she saw Sesshomaru's eyes widened when he looked at his faces' reflection in a car window to the side of them.

"Why didn't you tell me this?" Sesshomaru looked at her in the corner of his eye as she laughed. "I hardly think a man would oppose a threat with lavender stripes and crescent moon on his forehead."

"Maybe," Kagome calmed down, "Maybe you could be one of the Sailor scouts, like Sailor um-"

"Do not imagine a name for me," Sesshomaru grimaced at his markings. "Good thing I can wash this stuff off...or else I'd feel like a circus clown."

Kagome laughed slightly again.

Sesshomaru turned away from the car window, "Are you still angry?"

"Kagome-chan," Sango yelled as she came out of the club with Naraku behind her.

"No," Kagome admitted as she waved at Sango, "I cooled down a little bit. So I am not that mad anymore, but you pissed me off."

Sesshomaru smiled wickedly, "Let me make it up to you."

Heh...I know how.

"Alright," Kagome smiled brightly, "Apologize to Kouga."

Sesshomaru stood there trying to keep his cool, even he couldn't truly hide that he wasn't fond of the idea.

Kagome folded her arms on top of her chest, "I'm waiting."

"I'm sorry I insulted Kouga."

"To his face," Kagome let out a breath, "I can't believe you."

"You're the liar," Sesshomaru chuckled, "How can anyone believe you? Although, I wonder who you would say you date to keep me away. It wouldn't work but-"

"Let it die," Kagome gave him the evil eye. "We will both apologize if he even stops to listen."

"He won't"

"We'll find out then," Kagome turned to Sango as she finally approached them, "Sorry I left the club."

Naraku and Sesshomaru eyes met momentarily; Kagome noticed.

Do they know each other?

Sango wrapped an arm around Kagome's shoulder and glanced at Sesshomaru, "The music was getting old anyway. Is that you're boyfriend over there?"

I suddenly hate the word boyfriend now.

"We are lovers," Sesshomaru answered, "boyfriend is such a childish word don't you think?"

"Yea totally," Sango brought her arm back to face Kagome fully, "Naraku and I are going to check back at my place. He wants to drive you home unless-"

"She's with me," Sesshomaru flashed Kagome a halfway smile when she turned to him puzzled. "I'll take her home."

Sango looked at Sesshomaru for a moment before she looked at Kagome, giving her a look, "I would have come outside sooner but I was looking for Kouga and he wants to stay. So, I'm like fuck it."

"Yea," Kagome frowned.

Sango kissed Kagome on her cheek, "I'm coming over your house tomorrow so, don't stay up late."

Kagome gave Sango a look.

Naraku shook Kagome's hand, "Pleasure."

"You too," Kagome answered immediately.

"Night," Sango said as she and Naraku started going back to the car.

I guess Naraku didn't know Sesshomaru.

"So..." Sesshomaru began.

"So..." Kagome repeated.

"Let me take you home," Sesshomaru gave out a hand for Kagome to take. "It's what a man should do to his girlfriend. He should take her places...right?"

Kagome took his hand; she couldn't help smiling, "Yea. Not the places you want to go though."

"Where do I want to go?"

"Heh, like you don't know," Kagome answered as they walked holding hands.

Kagome suddenly stopped.

Sesshomaru glanced at her, "What is it?"

"Sango and Naraku were still wearing their masks," Kagome let out a laugh. "Forget it."
