"Where could she have gone?" Shippo moaned as the group searched the entire central lands it seemed for Kagome.

Inuyasha whirled around and gave the kitsune a death glare. Shippo let out an "eep" at the look and flew into Sango's arms, for protection, he knew what that look meant. He sure wished his momma was here.

Inuyasha was so fucking worried it was driving him mad. He could barely see straight, that's how mad he was. It was his fault, if I just would have gotten to where she was, she would be right beside him now. He growled deeply in frustration. Trying not to let his mind wander to the possibilities to what could have happened to her. He shook his head trying to get the mental images of her body lying on some forest floor.

Miroku could see that his friend was struggling, they all were. They all tried to keep hope alive, about Kagome's disappearance. Its been two in a half days since their run in with the youkai. Each one of them killed the youkai chasing them, but unfortunately most of them went after Kagome. All of the group's heart sank low with guilt over not being there for her. He sighed, knowing these thoughts would do them no good.

Sango listened to all of the heavy sighing, after the third one she couldn't take it anymore. "Listen up you three!" her voice held an edge, making the three freeze in their place. "Kagome is not dead, she is to strong for that, so stop thinking the worst. What we are going to do is rest so we can continue looking you hear me. So Inuyasha look for a place to camp."

He was shocked, but nodded, he knew she was right Kagome was too strong to be put down so easily. She was probably in a village or something waiting for him, but he couldn't help have his doubts. As he looked into the fading sun he made a silent plea for her to be alright. "Please be alright Kagome, I need you too much."

She was still standing by the window when she heard a soft rapping on the door.

"Come in." she was greeted by the most beautiful youkai in the world she thought. She had long blonde hair with two white floppy ears on the top of her head. She also had a small fluffy round tail. "Oooo how pretty you are."

Keito blushed; she has never been called pretty before, she just might get to like this girl. "My name is Keito I will be your servant."

Wow my own servant how cool is that she thought. "Erm may I bathe?" she really needed a bath, and some new clothes as she fingered the haori. She gasped and put her hands over her mouth suddenly realizing she wore this in front of him, his very own clothing how ridiculous she must look.

"Yes right this way m'lady, I have also picked out some kimono's for you as well on the request of m'lord."

Request? Sesshoumaru actually bought her clothes…

Her thoughts were cut short when she was lead to a doorway at the end of the hall that opened up to a beautiful indoor hot spring. She couldn't help but squeal in delight at the beauty of it all. Enormous flowers of all kinds surrounded each spring. There was even a tiny waterfall. Oh yes this is what she craved more than anything.

"The soaps and kimonos will be over here m'lady." Keito said pointing to a small chest.

"Ok thanks." She turned to see her leaving. Man this feels weird I haven't bathed alone in quite some time. Reminding her of her friends, I wonder how there doing, they must be worried sick. She stepped in to the hot water after stripping herself of her assorted clothing. As she sunk down to a reasonable level, she let her headrest on the bank of the spring.

She raised her hand and stared at her claws. What will Inuyasha do when he finds out? Oh kami she was scared to even find out. How will she get home, just thinking of their reaction brought tears to her eyes? They may never want to see her again, just thinking of her mom not being able to see her again, and her friends running from her brought heart-wrenching sobs to her body.

"Kagome, Kagome what is wrong my lord has sent me in here to know why you are crying so much?" After hearing that she bolted up looking around covering herself.

"Oh my, is he in here? How did he know I was crying?" she asked startled her tears forgotten.

"Oh you do not know?" Keito looked at her with a small smile.

"No, know what?"

"Since you two are life mates both of you can feel most of each others emotions. And that means when you cry you send a type of tremor or ripple of emotion through your mate telling them something is wrong." laughing she continued "he told me to tell you to stop your annoying human emotions."

Kagome pouted at his supposed response to her distress. Which only made Keito laugh harder, she swatted at her playfully. What did she expect the human hating taiyoukai to say to a human turned youkai?

"I was crying over the fact to what I will say to my family and friends who ermm," not wanting to divulge everything just yet, " who hate youkai greatly."

"well aren't you a miko, you can just use a certain illusion spell on yourself."

"Oh your right," she said smiling feeling extremely better.

"Besides you don't look that much different just little enhancements per say." She smiled warmly at the naïve girl. "I am sure if you ask Lord Sesshoumaru he will let you use some of his spell books in the library."

"Oh thank you so much I will be fine now, tell Sesshoumaru-sama thank you again." She turned and finished washing as Keito left. Even though that took care of one problem there were still many more. She stepped out and dried off, and looked through the kimonos, trying to take her mind of the current situation. She picked a pretty pink one with petal designs all over it. She slipped on the sandals provided and walked to the door to a waiting Keito.

"Please follow me m'lady." She started walking down the elaborate hallway.

"Oh my where have all my manners disappeared to," causing the rabbit youkai to turn around in curiosity. "My name is Hirougoshi (whatever I spelled it so wrong) Kagome, and please call me Kagome." She smiled sweetly at Keito. "I hope we can be friends ok?"

"Ok that would be nice."

He heard the exchange between the girls and smirked, a little. When he was in his study looking over documents from other Daimyo like himself, he felt a familiar ripple in his body but this time he could see images of her face streaked with tears. He didn't even think before he rushed to her floor and found Keito outside the spring door. He quickly sent her in to investigate. As he waited for an answer he realized he did it again, he acted without thinking. What the hell was going on with him, he the great lord of the western lands did not at so impulsively, he left those downfalls to his hanyou brother.

Dressed in his white kimono, edged in blue instead of red, he waited in the dining room for her, he remembered what Keito suggested, a spell from his library. His thoughts were interrupted as he saw the miko stumble in, from being pushed most likely he concluded. However that wasn't what stirred him it was the different way he saw her. Her now very long hair was hanging loosely falling to her calf's, he noticed that her silver streak was mainly in her long bangs framing her face in silver before turning raven black. Her indigo bluish green eyes were accentuated by the deep purple stripes over her lids, they glowed even more than they did before. She was startling, and he didn't like it. She was still Inuyasha's wench in his book. He watched as she bowed, he did so as well before leading her to the seat at the table, noticing the way she shifted on her feet nervously under his gaze.

Why was he staring at her like this? It was way to unnerving for her likings? Did he find her that repulsing, geez. But as soon as he touched her it was like electricity running through her instantly, she couldn't help but shudder.

He noticed how she shook when he touched her, he couldn't help but let out a growl. Did she find him repulsing? How dare she? His anger was rising, no one has ever shown such disrespect towards him before, and he felt like lashing out until he felt her hand. He looked down to see her looking up at him with concern all over her face.

"Hey you ok? I felt something,… something wrong with you, like intense heat?" she said while patting his hand as if to soothe him. He stared at her hand, how strange? She pulled her hand away slowly and step back. He snapped his head back up and looked in her eyes. "Oh yeah I forgot." Forgot what he wondered? "But hey I know we don't get along but it seems were stuck together, so I umm want to be sort of friends at least try to be."

Friends, he didn't think he had many of those except for Rin, but he considered her something else just wasn't quite sure though. But friends that was a word that was somewhat foreign to him.

They ate in silence for the longest, he watched as she ate daintily, commenting every now and then on how good everything was. He reluctantly decided to break the silence.

"Miko…"he began before being cut off by one hell of a tremor and a piercing gaze. He just stared at her.

"I know its better than wench, bitch, or any other name Inuyasha calls me. But can you please call me by my name, which is Kagome." She said sighing. He subconsciously killed his brother for such disrespect, but then again he has called her the same things during battle.

"Ka-go-me" he pronounced it slowly, sending oh so wrong waves through her. She had to admit his deep cool voice did make her name sound quite splendid. "We need to make arrangements. First of all since I, Sesshoumaru will not dishonor my title any further by breaking the pact of life mates. I will make a deal with you." He spoke as he casually sipped his tea.

"Hey wait a minute" her defenses flying up. "I am not a dishonor, and you should be happy, I am a youkai now. Hell I didn't ask for this." Pointing at herself.

Ignoring her outburst, "The deal will be that you can go to your friends and hunt these shards and visit your family, as long as you see me once a month."

"Ewww lets get this straight I am not your whore…" she didn't get to finish because she was being crushed against his chest.

He normally would have strangled her but something kept him from doing so. This would have to do. "Listen miko, I would never disgrace myself by rutting with the likes of you. So next time hold your tongue when you feel the need for nonsense to come rolling out of your mouth." He sneered with disgust at her, but he instantly regretted it. He watched as her angry eyes started to moisten with hurt and anger.

"Then what do you want?" she whispered looking away from him.

"I want to train you in your demonic powers, and I have to present you to youkai society. I can't have an imbecile for a mate." He said more gently, he eased his hold on her, but still held her. "Do we have a deal or not?"

She looked back at him with startlingly vacant eyes, but his impassive face took no notice. But inwardly he did. Why did she affect him like this, making him say and act things before thinking about it?

"Yes, now may I be excused." Her voice was as cold as his. A grunt was all she received before being released. She walked out into the hallway she escaped to earlier; and she found the same door she tried to get out of earlier, she opened it only to reveal an enormous garden.

It was now nighttime but the garden was lit by the lustrous moon, sending silver beams throughout the gardens. It was absolutely beautiful, it was something she would have only seen in books in the future. She started walking down the winding paths, trying not to think of what he said to her "the likes of you", she grunted was it her destiny to be ridiculed by all men. Sighing she walked off the path to the far reaches of the garden's until it reached the edge of the mountain leading to further down edges which had streams leading to a waterfall in front of the mountain. Walking dangerously close around the edge she plucked fruit off trees as she went by, slicing them with her claws. Maybe it won't be so bad as a demon she snickered. As she walked she discovered a dragon lying before her, her heart stopped when the dragon looked up. But then she realized it was the dragon that followed Rin in their previous battles.

Walking cautiously to him she reached out a hand, surprisingly it bowed his head to let her stroke his head. I wonder if….

"My Lord have you seen the Lady Kagome, she never came up. Her bed is prepared but…"

"WHAT!!!" his roar startled Keito a bit, but she stood still and repeated that she has not seen lady Kagome. The next thing she knew a white blur whizzed by her.

If she tries to escape me again I have no clue what's going to stop me from hurting her. He followed her scent to the doors he caught her by earlier, that fact only adding more fuel to his fury. He stepped outside and concentrated, but what he heard and then saw scared him. He Lord Sesshoumaru the best youkai fighter known, was actually breathing a little bit harder.

He watched as Kagome rode through the air doing all sorts of unsafe tricks with Ah-Un, he could hear her giggling and excitement as the dragon dropped her only to catch her before she hit the ground. He clenched and unclenched his claws, wishing it was something's neck.

Kagome was in the middle of a loop when she and the dragon heard a horribly bellow. It vibrated the entire sky as it rang through the night air. She steered the dragon towards the mountain only to be greeted by a white blur with red eyes. She knew who it was and decided that this would be an excellent opportunity to check out her demon speed. When the dragon landed she slowly stepped off onto the opposite side, across from of the mad inu demon. Without putting much thought or warning to it, she hiked up her dress and dashed towards the castle door. Talk about demonic speed, she was fast as crap, everything just passed by as a blur of colors. Unfortunately she looked back to see the red eyes coming way faster than her. Now she was scared, she tried dodging corners but she knew she was no match, but the hell if she wasn't going to try.

He couldn't believe she ran, she actually tried to run from him. Obviously she had no idea how much he liked to chase his prey before landing for the kill. He simply just pursued.

He easily leaped the bushes she tried to block him with. He toyed with her the longest before attacking. She was now making a b-line for the door, as she looked back again to see where he was, she tripped over a root falling hard onto the ground. Damn root she cursed trying to get back up.

He heard and saw the thud, he concluded she was very clumsy. He didn't allow her any time of getting back up before turning her over and pinning her down. His body was stretched over her with each of his knees on either side of her legs, and with his fist on either side of her head. Her hair was like a black blanket on the ground while his made a silver curtain around her shivering form. He was staring at her, she had a smile on her face and in her eyes. He could tell she was trying hard not to laugh.

She actually found that funny, he thought it was fun but he never thought it could be funny. Any other victim would be scared beyond all belief. But seeing her laughing made him realize that, this is what fun was. Something he never had until now. He let his eyes turn back to their original color.

She watched as the crimson eyes faded to the amber jewels again. Now she was tired she felt her body winding down but she couldn't help say the one thing on her mind before falling into oh so peaceful sleep. "Simply beautiful."

Keito watched from a window as the two ran like two lovesick puppies. She watched her new mistress fall, she watched as the Sesshoumaru's usually impassive face faulted and show genuine shock. She watched as he thought for a minute over the sleeping miko before picking her up and cradling her against him. She knew he was inhaling her sweet unique scent, she knew him all to well. She waited outside the door of her chamber's, and watched out of the corner of her as he carried her to her bed. As he laid her in bed, and stared at her before leaving, she knew this was going to be tough, but it was gong to be an everlasting love. The only thing now was how the hell was she going to get them together?
