Comforting Calls

 

I actually like this one. It was inspired while I was watching the Skypeia ark.

There is screaming and pain, oh pain, pain, pain. And just beyond this wrecked reality, there is light, warm and comforting, calling. But the entrance is barred and not even his strength can open it.

 

He is tired and worn, and the earth is so, so, so heavy, and all he wants to do is sleep.

But…there are some screams that seem so familiar; too familiar. And with a start; with a roar, he opens his eyes; he lives to fight another day.

 

Because his nakama need him now, and death will have to wait. His nakama are calling him.
