Mari: See, I told you that no one would like her.

Me: So, I like her and that is all that matters.

Mari: Well, if no one reads this why do you still write it?

Me: For the pure pleasure of writing.

Mari(Rolling her eyes): Right…

Me: Well, here is the next part, I hope that you like it ^.^!!

Almost Perfect(chapter 1)

I was in the usual mood for a school day, bored. Even if it was the first day, I still was. No new kids…and the teachers were the same, two faced. I can see why Yusuke hated going to school, they acted nice, but most were really slimy. Everyone was pretty stupid, I mean, if they don't realize that Yusuke and I are twins…what does that tell you. I am just not worrying about it, though. We were going to lunch and I was getting excited.

"At least I get to talk to someone," I thought. "We don't have enough time during any other class, so this will do. I wonder how Keiko's day has been?"

"Hey, Kali! How has your day been?"

"Pretty much the usual. You know, nothing exciting ever happens here."

"Yeah, I heard that you know who was getting in trouble already."

"What! I swear that brother of mine is nothing but trouble. I don't know which one of us has a bigger temper, though."

"That is about the only thing you and Yusuke have in common." She said giggling.

"Yeah… I guess I can see how people can think that we are not related, although it is still funny."

"Yup, I have to agree."

After that, the day seemed to crawl on. None of the classes were exciting. Even gym, which was my favorite. I don't know what it was about the day, but something made it boring. Maybe the fact that I thought school was a waste of time, just like my brother.

The day had finally come to an abrupt end, and I met with Keiko.

"So from the looks of it, your day ended like mine."

"Yup, that is it in a nutshell."

"I haven't heard from Yusuke, what about you?"

"Nope, and I am afraid to…I only hope mom isn't her usual self. She has been getting worse lately."

"I feel bad about that. I mean, you work so hard, and your family isn't…"

"Hey, I am ok. As long as I have a friend like you to talk to, I'll be ok."

"Thanks, I appreciate it Kal. I mean, I need a friend like you also." We both smiled at each other. You don't see good friends like us too often, we have been close, and will stay like that forever. We walked home together and finally split ways.

"I only hope that Yusuke didn't get into much trouble. Those teachers are always hard on him… hmm, with my luck he is getting in a fight now. I mean, oh well, he gets home when he wants to. No one worries about him… I only wish that one day mom could… Kali Ann Urameshi, snap out of it! You are fine and will be." I thought.

I walked into the house filled with the smell of alcohol. I found mom passed out on the living room floor.

"It is a shame, she always seems to be drunk when I come home." I thought. Picking up a blanket off the floor, I covered her up. I walked into my room and brushed the junk off my desk. My homework took over until I heard the doorknob turn. The clock on my desk read 6:30 and I went into the kitchen.

"Hey, if it isn't brother of the year."

"What's got into you?"

"It is the first day of school, jeez, you could at least come home on time."

"That idiot Kuwabara started something again. He never learns that I always beat him."

"Why can't you just ignore him?"

"Because he really pisses me off."

"Ok, well whatever. Get what you want to eat, I am not cooking tonight."

"Mom's out again…"

"Yeah…hey, just stop getting into fights, ok?"

"Why? I can't help the yearning to fight."

"Well, just don't fight anyone from Sara, ok?"

"I can't help that they challenge me…"

"Well then fight me."

"What!?"
