This was such a tender story of heart and healing and devotion and love and I...there are no WORDS! I just...I'm floored and that's all I can say! U RAWK, Feni! I can't believe this was your first story! I LOURVED The Mountain Prince concept and his mannerisms you gave Sesshy as a dog were fascinating and, oft times, hellafunny. And I liked it that you talked in the 1st person for Rin--suits her. What really got to me was how she was so different from the bubbly Rin she was before (which reminded me of the Kikyou/Kagome reincarnation angle in the series) and how her personality shifted over the ages. You're an AWESOME writer, Feni! -iloveanimecartoons/HelpMeWriteRigh

One of the most touching, emotional love stories filled with an undescribeble sense of safety in a wilderness so raw in beauty that it makes a person yearn to be in that setting and to be a part of it.

I'm quite amazed at the seeming lack of reviews on this fic considering that I find it one of the best that I've read on the Sess/Rin AU universe. I really loved your twists and the way you used the first person to narrate the story. The first story of yours that I read was actually Snowbound:Requiem and it made me really interested in this earlier fic. ^__^ You made me one happy fangirl. Keep it up!

It is not often that you find a modern fanfic writer who appreciates the wonder of an unhappy ending. Sometimes things don't work out for you to spend the rest of your lives together, but you are better for the experience of your loss than you would be if you had never loved. This was a wonderful, if sad, beautiful story. Excellent job with this. ~QueenTatooine

Me again! I must admit, this story left me a bit frustrated, but I'm almost sure that this was the point. Throughout the whole thing, there was the anticipation that Sessh would transform and there would be all kindsa happy nooky etc. The dream lover was delightfully tantalising. I loved how you left that whole thing open, and even after I'm not 100% sure that he really did transform and *ahem* interact with her whilst she was asleep. I must admit, I had a few squickish moments involving bestiality, before I reassured myself that you wouldn't go there... right? That was my favourite part of this story, I think: the anticipation and that I thought I knew where you were going, but NO, I didn't, but maybe I did, but no... you kept me guessing :) The setting was purely gorgeous. I love Hokkaido and your descriptions were perfect. I got a crystal mental image without having to wade through pararaphs of trying to describe the exact colour of the bark. I've decided I want that house, when I'm obscenely rich. :P The ending was so... well, not anticlimactic, because there was most DEFINITELY a climax, but again I'll mention that sense of anticipation, and it went the other way. That being said, I LOVED your ending, no matter how much of a case of the sniffles it gave me. I'm a die hard romantic, so whilst that part of me was railing for Rin to go magically whisk Tenseiga out of her suitcase, that was the logical and believable outcome for the story. Of course, I only came to that conclusion after eating a little chocolate to console myself. (It's a bit scary how involved I get in stories, fanfics or otherwise.) The part wherein Rin regains her memories was a little vague, but it works. I love the ending paragraph, how you bring in that Faery thing again, with the magical creatures. The Glade was cool. Rin's formality with the tree and Sesshoumaru (or Mountain Prince) surprised me at first, but it settled quickly when her character was established. As someone's mentioned, I love how you keep the childlike personality of Rin in a believable adult version. Now, I'm going to stop before I sound like a stalker, and I'm late to boot! ciao from Rhiara

This story was extremely eloquent and flowed really nicely. You managed to keep it quite down-to-Earth yet spiritual as well and I really enjoyed the characterisation. Rin is so happy in the anime and so childish and we still see a little bit of that in her adult characters. Sesshoumaru's insight in also remarkable and well written. With similar events from the original story and your story - that was very enjoyable as it brought some familiarity for me. It was great. I love the Sess/Rin pairing and stories like this make it a whole lot more enjoyable and worthwhile to read. Great work! Keep Writing! ^^
