I wonder, did you ask the author if you could take their story? It is a portion of it but you took it none the less, only changed the character. It is horrifying to think that somenoe could steal without conscience. Plagiarism. I believe you should look it up. If you were doing this for a class, you would be expelled without thought. Think about others before you steal. It is stealing.
