It's sweet. I like the detail of Kagome sewing, although I doubt she does, much. What's this with kissing noses? Beh. I like the whole side story but, well that's a question. Is this a side story or not? You are treating this guy as if he were a side story. Was that your intention? This is noko, as if you can't guess.

I gave a 10 for style because I was immersed in the land, the day to day things of the time. Good pacing, believable. I love how the headman ask them to stay and how Kagome did not become the default Kikyo. I also love your obvious respect for the culture and research. I do have one question for you. You say that InuYasha owns his sword. If I remember correctly, it is the sword who chooses it's master. Would it be more correct to say the sword owned InuYasha?

And very nice IY/Kag fluff it is, too! Sweet to them interact this way. Him helping her with laundry, opening up to her. But of course we can't have everything go smoothly now, can we? What fun woul that be? So, IY wants a Buddist ceremony.... oh, yes, I can see this leading them to trouble, given the deal with Mushin. Very nice lead up to that.

The story you tell is so well illustrated! As I read each line, it takes me to a place where I can see the village life, hear the comforting non-modern sounds of the era, and feel the emotions the characters exude. I love how you've created a more intuitive take on the romance and desires of Inuyasha and Kagome. Its wonderfully unique and I am excited to read the next chapter. Yeah! Inuyasha finally got the confidence to ask Kagome to marry him! It' has to be a strange feeling to be accepted somewhere...it's going to take a while for him to accept that it's real. Will Kagome keep her spiritual powers? Can't help but worry about the 'storm' that's coming! Great chapter and story! Looking forward to what's next.

InuYasha finally gets to know acceptance and love - at least until someone comes along to try and ruin it. I really liked his shyness in his proposal, and of course Kagome's eagerness to accept. It also sounds like Miroku is going to get to perform the wedding. And Mushin has managed to help the man who wants to destroy them - that's an interesting twist and I wonder how it will affect him. Wonderful chapter and I'm looking forward to more.

This is such a lovely story. I am enjoying it so much! I'm reading your stories because doggieearlover recommended you in her author notes. I can say she is right, your stories are wonderful. I love the way you give them a mystical note, and how you use the folktales and other traditional issues. I also find them very original and heart warming, and especially very respectful of the original story and characters. This chapter was quite intriguing; I can't wait to find out what the entire cat-hag thing is about, and which part the new guy will play in the plot. Oh… and I'm so glad you are also updating "The Evil in Men's Hearts"! I think is just amazing, I love the original characters and I really can see it like a possible continuation for the RT's story. Please don't stop!
