I love this fic, and having noticed it hasn't updated in a while, I checked out your site. I'm so sorry to hear about your health problems! Here's hoping 2012 treats you a little better than 2011 :D As for the not-updating-until-the-story-is-complete, I totally get that. I did that with my own fic - it's called Life Through Sea Green Eyes on fanfiction.net, if you are at all into the Hunger Games - and I only posted each story arc after I was finished writing it and completely satisfied. From an authorial standpoint, it's a brilliant move, and I support you whole heartedly. And if you ever need a beta reader - and I bet you get this all the time! - I'd be more than happy to volunteer my services. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I think you're a fantastic writer, and while I have read all your Purity fics, this is by far my favorite. Something about Evan and Valerie just pulls me into the story. I've reread it several times, and will inevitably do so when you update again. Hey Sue! Long time no review! I stopped reading last year because of school etc. and I just caught up this past week, reading about ten chapters I've missed since last. One of the other reasons I stopped reading and reviewing, though, was because I was a little miffed about having one of my reviews deleted and it took me awhile to realize why it was. It had been a rare time I'd forgotten about your unsolicited critiques rule, and I apologize. Sorry I haven't read in so long. But finally! Progress in the Evan and Valerie story! I'm loving it! The almost kiss, Valerie's cute brother, Gin getting pregnant... all so great. You're one of the few online authors that actually make me laugh or chuckle aloud as I read, and I've missed that about you while I've been away from the Purity series. I'm incredibly tempted to go back and read my favorite Purity stories now-- such as Gavin/Jillie, Bas/Syndie, and my all time favorite: Isabelle/Griffin. I know it's been awhile since you've last written, and you're busy with real life problems such as health and sons etc., but hang in there! I notice you had quite a streak going, updating twice or three times a month during the summer. It's been a good four months, but hopefully when you have a moment to breathe in between preparing for the holidays, you can shoot out a quick fluff chapter as a Christmas present to the many who still follow you? :3 (puppy eyes) Of course, your real life has precedent, and I understand if it isn't possible. I just love reading your flowing style of writing, and I guess I just can't wait until Valerie dumps Marvin's sorry ass. (The Hojo-like name teasing... I love it. It's like Purity 1 all over again.) holy hell!!! i had so many chapters to catch up on!!! i can't believe she kissed him!!! multiple times at that!!!! she really does want to be with him!!! this is by far the best story i have ever read (and i read and love all your work)!! i wonder when she's going to break it off with marvin and go running into evans arms! :D i cannot wait for an update and i now will be checking every day to see if you have updated now that i have access to the internet! hope you update soon!! |

That was so cute, him helping her catch a fish :) be can be such a sweet man when he wants to be. If they only brought one tent then tonight should be interesting to say the least but it seems like she's really coming around to him. FINALLY!!! |

A camping trip away from all business and modern life seems like its a good way to let them finally get over those last few hurdles. Who knows, it just might be what ends up winning Valerie over. And hikers can't help but bond over long trips like that. I can see it becoming a bit of a tradition to go disappear into the woods for two weeks a year (or more). It's only a matter of time now... As an avid, though often silent, reader of your works, I love the way you've stemmed off of the original Inuyasha story. Your characters are vivid and entertaining. Throughout this story, I have very much enjoyed seeing how Valerie and Evan developed their relationship. Valerie's curiosity about Evan's method for catching fish is adorable. I can't wait for the next chapter! |

Slip, sliding away, slip, sliding away...I remember the sensations of sliding into love and slowly becoming aware of that fact. V's waking up to what she is feeling. I suspect the conversation she has with herself regarding Marvin is VERY INTERESTING, not to mention the one she has with hEvan. I almost feel sorry for Marvin, but he will probably be happier without any distractions from his research. No wife to distract from his work. Idiot! |
