I loved the description of the doctors as buzzards. You did a really good job depicting Aya's panic through his fractured thoughts.

Heh! I forgot to read chapter 3 when you first posted, so I had quite a lot to catch up! It's sounding to me like Ran had been up to something where he and Yohji both knew it was likely that something might happen to him (other than the obvious assassin stuff.) I'm really curious to find out what. You do an awesome job keeping the emotions really tense and tangible. I like the idea that Yohji's wearing Aya's earring. Well, I just heart this verison of Yohji to bits.
