I've come across many "Inuyasha gets raped" fanfics, but I've never come across one so well written. It was hard for me to ever continue through the beginning of the story, and the only thing that kept me going was the hope that things would get better in the end. Inuyasha and Kagome did seem to have sex a lot sooner than I would have thought they would, but since this is a one-shot, I'll shrug it off. I like how you not only discussed how the entire experience effected Inuyasha, but also Kagome thoughts on the subject, and her guilt. I'm glad that you gave them a happy ending, too. You are definetly a very talented writer, and you happen to be one of my favorites on here. Keep up the good work!!! | Title: Hello

Well, first of all I don't know why I hadn't read this before, you published it on august and I just don't know why I didn't see it, always that I get an update from you I check the fic, cuz I love all of your fics they're soooo... I've always liked hem xD Second, I had been thinking about a fic with an idea like this for such a long time but never deared to actually write it, I just think I couldn't be able to write it, and no one else semed to want to write it too xD And then, like three days ago I was just reviewiew you fics cuz I wanted to read one againa nd I saw this one, and was like... mmmm why hadn't I read it before... And then, well, actualy I've liked this fic very much but not for wrong reasons, I mean, a situation like this would have most likely to come to happen to them in the sengoku in a new moon, and I liked very much how your made Inuyasha reach to everything, it needed to be a very advanced fic, that means with kikyo dead, for it to be better xD I just loved the fic how Inuyasha was so sweet anf everything with Kagome how very very Inuyasha you made him. there is bad stories and good stories which you read gladly.then there's stories which completely blow up your mind and THIS story is one of them.I've never read a story like this before.Sure there had been raping but the victim has never been Inuyasha, "willingly"! It was breathtaking how he sacrificed himself for Kagome.It's one thing to die for someone and another to suffer like that.And his pain and panic of enjoying it, you wrote it just perfectly.Though I think they had sex a bit too soon (but this is a one-shot...) Alright I'm going to sound like an absolute creep for my following words: I stalk you. Well you're stories at least. From here to Fanfiction.net. You're a great story teller, you can convey emotion so well, I'm a bit envious. Honestly I was a bit surprised at the curve ball you threw in there. But if someone really loves someone and they vow to protect them it all comes down to actions. Which is why I admire your story. You basically did the unthinkable there, you probably turned off some readers, but for me it urged me on even more. The story line and your style of writing had me spellbound. I'll admit I stopped and took a breather, but I commend you. You even explored to notion as to why victims feel disgusted with themselves after an assault like that. It's because that their body found pleasure in the horrible act and even before that paragraph where Kagome tries to explain the workings of the male anatomy, I knew why. But nonetheless I appreciate what you did in writing this story. You captivated your readers with emotion and kept the emotion following throughout. It was truly an emotional roller coaster. Wow. Somehow I have a smile on my face; even thinking back to the first part of the story can't get rid of it. I know you advertised WAFF in the beginning, but I didn't expect it to actually give me a warm and fuzzy feeling with that I knew was coming. As another reviewer pointed out, your car crash analogy was perfect. Probably one of the most difficult passages I've ever read. I'll be honest--you almost lost me when Inuyasha felt pleasure. But that's why I believe in continuing to read when something offends you. After the initial reaction, I realized that I couldn't say with any kind of certainty one way or another whether a man could or would feel pleasure in that situation. So I decided not to be ignorant and close-minded about it. Even before Kagome's explanatory paragraph later, I had made peace with it. I also was initially uncomfortable with their playfulness later, and how they sort of comic-alized the incident. But again, I can't say that reasonable people wouldn't react that way. Maybe they had to react that way, to beat this specter of the past in their minds, so it didn't rule them. Ultimately, it was the theme of this story that really spoke to me: doing anything for the ones you love. It's so easy to say that, to promise in the abstract that you'll make sacrifices for loved ones if the necessity arises. But to actually do it, to submit to what Inuyasha went through...that's true heroism. And thanks to Kagome, he knows that's exactly what he is. The power of love to heal emotional wounds (eventually) was also a nice side-theme. Sorry to ramble; I tend to do that when a story speaks to me (as you well know by now). Just know that this was one of the most mentally-provocative stories I've read in awhile. I, again, ignored the warnings and jumped straight into the story. Like ananova said, you have a gift for writing, and it shows. Even if I don't normally read fics like this, I would gladly read yours, because I know that it will be worth it. So here I am trying to catch up on my writing, when I get an email that you have posted another story. Of course I couldn't help but click on the link and then I am stuck. I saw the warning but this you and you always have a way of making things I wouldn't normally read good. And this was no exception. I can so see Inuyasha doing something like that, it is just another form of taking a blow meant for Kagome and we've seen in canon how he is willing to shield her with his own body. You did a wonderful job with the emotional aspects as well the physical. I loved Kagome's explanation to him as well as her question of if he would blame her if her body had felt pleasure if the bandit decided to rape her after all. That was the perfect way to make Inuyasha realize that there is nothing wrong with him and it wasn't his fault. And what a great way to blunt the memories. So I am definitely rating this a 10 and I can't wait to see what you come up with next. In a world where there aren't many original ideas left, you always manage to come up with something new. *......one long whistle......* Wow! just.....Wow! What else can I say? I was a little apprehensive about reading it at first. I saw the warnings, and I read at my own risk. You were right about it being like a car crash; your shock, amazed, appalled, and you just couldn't look away, and that was just the first part. I was impressed with the way you analyzed the situation, and worked it up to where they could comfort each other. You did a wonderful job in pointing out the physical and emotional effects that such an experience can bring, even with someone as strong willed as Inuyasha. And we all know that Inuyasha would of done something like that in a millisecond if it meant saving Kagome's life. Great Job, I loved it, and I hope to see more. |
