I really like this story. I've never read an AU quite like it before. I like that Kikyo was a mentioned ex, but she was 150 years ago so not in existence anymore. Kikyo is definitely a good character to add angst to stories but sometimes she can be too much and make situations too conflicted and sad so seeing the way you did it, makes me happy for the change in writing style. Really like it so far!
