A lot of stuff gets lots in that dark void between his chest and his younger brother's dark-violet hair, I think, and the folds in his pants could have been more realistic. Also, be careful with the head-body proportions, I think. >_< I really did like this picture though! "Guardian" has an awesome subject: the sweet bond between brothers. Overall, this was a very good picture, great color work, lovely feathers!

The text is nicely inserted and the overall picture sits well balanced and pleasing to the eye. I would have to agree that the major drawback is the lack of contrast between the black surfaces, making it hard to distinguish surfaces like his arm and chest, more prominent highlights would help and give a lovely dynamic to an already wonderful image. Very cute, very subtle and nicely done. Biz ;)

Awesome picture, I love the concept. The phrase is very good and goes well with the piece. My only suggestion would be that you had made the words a little bigger. As for the rest of the picture everyone else has already stated the solid blackness that you have throughout the whole thing. Adding some version of shading would have brought this picture to life and give it the depthness that it craves. Overall the artwork is beautiful. Thank you for submitting. ^_~ Songie

I think it a wonderful picture, and how it is done is great, I do agree with the others about the different shades of black in your picture but other then that it is a wonderful picture.

I think its a very nice image. The saying is nice and i like how protective and caring the guardian is over the child. My only suggestin would be to use different shades of black to add depth and detail to the black parts of the image. I think you would like the outcome.~Fanilia

Awww, they looks so cute together! The saying is pretty cool. The head seems a little out of proportion to the body on the winged character. Maybe making the head smaller, or body larger would make it more realistic. You did great on shading, it's just the black has no apparent shading to it. Maybe putting some more shading into the black areas would make the picture come alive more. Great job, it's just so darn cute! >.
