First off, I have to commend you on putting this level of art on your first attempt on a tablet. Much more than I can do. XD Now, back to the critique, I like the highlights you made around the face and neck area as well as the shading around the hair. The only thing I can see you can improve on this piece is the crown around the tie--I would mention the tie itself, but Rini already touched on that subject so I don't wanna repeat. Other than that, a very good first attempt. Keep it up. ^_^

This is a really nice piece for your first work with a new tablet. You have a good sense for how everything comes together and how to use the stylus for things like highlights. The line art looks a little pixelly and rough on this monitor; I'm not sure which program you're using or how you created the line art, but that sometimes comes from simply darkening a scan. There are a lot of ways to use pen and brush tools in various programs once you have a tablet, so experiment with them and find a way that works best for you. Overall, good work on this piece!

Love how you covered parts of his eyes with his hair, it added the air of mystery'ness. His face in general looks really enigmatic as well.The only thing I will comment on is the way clothes is drawn. The tie knot is too low, I suggest studying clothes material as complicated as his collars and ties.Tapering the neck part of the tie into the knot would solve the problem. Otherwise, it is a nice piece and the shadowing is really nice. The background too. Good job and keep practicing, and I'm envious of you for having a tablet, so have a good time using it.
