Artist's Commentary
La liii hooooooo! ^o^ Nicihwa minna-sama! This picture took 6+ hours to complete. o.o;; And it still looks like crap. XD This oekaki is of my chacter from my RP with Norumu (norumu.deviantart.com); Yumi, also known as the tavern owner Yama[moto]. She crossdresses frequently throughout the piece to fight monsters, save townspeople, partake in political debates- All things women aren't allowed to do. (Think submissive Japanese wives of the Fuedal Era.) She's wearing her training clothes (though you really can't see em), spiffy shorts made by her mother (who's a wood nymph), chest binding tape, and boots. And now a passage from the scene this picture was inspired by! I may eventually draw the guy mentioned in the passage below, Norumakia (Norumu's character), Yama's friend/parner in crime/possible love interest/senior by 7 years/training instructor/favorite demon on the block. ..She squealed, jumping from the shock of Noru standing there. Her arms promptly crossed over her chest in vain attempt to cover her topless top. Granted, she was properly covered due to her bindings, but she was still in no condition to be seen by a male. Not to mention her legs were also exposed. Her face flushed at the socially taboo situation she found herself in. "Oh come on, relax. It's good battle garb, won't get in your way." He said, having a sense of get over it in his tone. "Society may not like it, but I don't see society around here, do you?" he said, "Never liked social definitions anyways..." Her cheeks remained tinted pink as she slowly removed her arms from her chest. Still slightly embarassed, she nodded in agreement. "You have a point..." She broke into a grin as something crossed her mind. Her hands went to her hips as she waved a finger. "But if I hear any word of you bragging about seeing me topless, you are SO dead mister, ya hear?" she admonished. He laughed. "Not like I have anyone to brag to."
