I always wondered what the scene was like when Vash walked into that church and saw wolfwood dead. When I first started on this, I was working on a dark and very depressing feel to the picture. I wanted people to look at it and their hearts just break, even people that didn't know trigun. Well...it didn't come out like I hoped. Instead of dark, it came out sad and quiet. Have you ever had a moment when time just seemed to stop to you? A quiet stillness that seemed to last forever. That's why I call this piece mortal outside of time. Because to Vash and Wolfwood they are outside of time. The world stopped just for them for that moment, not matter how terrible and sad said moment was. This picture was done in ink. |
