Artist's Commentary
So, I did the Slayers Request fanworks exchange, and ended up getting Amber, who asked for a picture or fic of the principle cast in the end of the 19th century. So, here we have, from left to right, Sylphiel, Gourry, Lina, Amelia and Zelgadis. Originally it was supposed to be an elseworlds-type picture of the end of the first season, but Lina has her talismans. Oops. I also debated as to whether Zel should be human or not, or whether to throw in Xellos and Filia (perhaps looking less European) -- the latter was settled by having no space left. Looking back, I wish I had tossed in some more steampink elements, and gotten a bit more creative about costuming. Perhaps not played it straight Edwardian, since I went with chimera!Zel. -- Summer '07 |
