Ch. 39(Sweet Goodbyes)

The rest of the year seemed to fly by for the four friends. Before they knew it, it was the last day of school. Anna, Keyoko, Kai, Tala, Lexi, Reyna, Max, Ray, Tyson, and Hilary all sat together at breakfast. “This year sure has flown, huh guys?” Keyoko remarked. They all nodded. “This year sure was fun, though. I wish it hadn't ended so soon,” Lexi said, slightly sad. Reyna nodded and said, “Yeah, but maybe we can hang out sometime over the summer.” She looked slyly at Max. They all then discussed summer plans together until it was time to go to first period.

A few hours later, the bell rang. Kids poured into the halls as everyone rushed to leave. The group of friends, however, stayed behind for a few seconds as they hugged each other goodbye. They exchanged farewells, and then left the building. They lugged their bags to their parents' cars, and gave final waves to one another. As they all made their way home, each of them wondered what fate had in store for them next.
