Beyblade Fan Fiction ❯ Bey-saga ❯ What's 'Bey-saga?' ( Chapter 1 )

[ A - All Readers ]

I don't own Beyblade. All credit goes to Takao Aoki.

The story and the oc's belong to me. NO FLAMERS!! And Mariah bashing included.

(She's so annoying. She makes every fiber of my being scream out in rejection. I just want to bash her face in. grip her pink hair and cut it all off and feed her to my dog demons, and I'll bring her back to life and repeat the process.)

Let's see if I can sum this up in a language everyone can understand…

VIRTUAL REALITY GAMERS!!!

Summary: it's the year 2018 and everything is almost basically done by technology.

Of course everything is almost hand free. Two lucky girls have discovered a regular game called. `Bey-saga' and they were transported into a virtual game world.

“Hm…maybe…this way?” mai questioned herself as she checked her hair in the mirror. She pulled her hair into a one sided pony-tail. She left some hair in the front to cover her left eye. She turned her head left and right, and then settled on the hair style. She smiled.

Sai walked by holding her laptop and bag. She stopped and poked into the bathroom.
“If you keep adoring yourself, you're going to be late and I'm not making up an excuse.”
Mai dropped the brush and looked at the clock. Indeed she was going to be late. She ran out of the bathroom and into her room frantically looking for her school uniform. She could hear sai calling out saying that `she's going ahead to meet the gang.' And she went out of the door. Mai cursed silently as she struggled to get her necktie tied. She tripped over her socks and fell on the floor. She looked out the window and saw her and her sister's laundry blowing in the wind. She remembered that kai was staying in the apartment next-door because Mr. Dickenson had to locate a new house for him. Something about his grandpa escaping from somewhere…she didn't know.
She opened the sliding door and frantically tried to get the clothes back in.
“Argh! Sai! You were suppose to bring the laundry in. I'll be so embarrassed if kai saw my underwear and bra.” She said with a deep blush. A gust a wind blew in her direction. She covered her eyes with her arm while the other still clutched the pile of clothes. She failed to notice that one of her bras slipped away and over to kai's apartment window.

Kai opened his apartment window. He was drying his hair. He must've come out of the shower. He was wearing his school's uniform pants. He went outside to get this shirt before some fan girl takes it. When he went to pick it up he noticed someone's black bra on top. He looked next door to mai and sai's apartment and briefly saw mai trying to get herself together for school. He sighed and went back inside while putting his school uniform on.
Mai broke through her apartment door as she struggled to get her bag over her shoulder. She stopped cold when she saw kai waiting outside. She ran over to greet him but that flew out the window when he held up her black bra in her face. He had something of a cold-bored stare. “Does this belong to you, mai?”

Mai's face turned bright red. She snatched her bra away and shoved it into her bag.

“What are you doing with this? Did you sneak into my room or something?” she almost yelled. `Did he peek at the size or anything?'
Kai shrugged his shoulders in a non-caring motion. “Don't worry. Your bra size in no way thrills me. Need a ride to school?” he asked.
Mai was flabbergasted. She sighed. There's no point in arguing with kai. She knows that from experienced. She willingly got into the limo with him.

(IT'S SAI AND RAY'S TURN!!)

Sai ran through town weaving through the towns' people that got in her way. This was usually a morning ritual for her. Mai would get a ride from a friend while sai would take a bike or train. Secretly anyway to see ray in the morning. She stopped at an intersection. She looked for any cars before crossing. A lady in a window looked out and saw her and smiled. “Sai! Good morning. Off to school are you?”
Sai smiled brightly. “Yes, Miss. Hasagawa. How's your garden?”
“Blooming radiantly. Thanks to your help.” She smiled.
Sai waved good-bye. “Good to hear. I better go. Good-bye.” She ran across the street and made her way to the train station.
“LAST CALL FOR KYOTO, LAST CALL FOR BOARDING.” The attendant lady said.
“Wait. I'm coming!” sai waved.
“Oh. Sai. No worries, you still have five minutes. Pass card please.”
Sai showed her school student I.D then walked on the train. She took an empty seat and sighed. Her faced turned serious and a blushed formed on her cheeks. She pulled a letter from her bag and looked at it. `Okay. I've planned this for weeks now. If I don't see ray when he gets on the train I'll sneak it in his locker or put it in his desk and wait for utter rejection.' She puts the letter away when she saw more people gather onto the train.
`This is probably going to sound completely dumb when he reads it. But how else can I tell him how I feel? I tried talking to him, but…I couldn't even make up verbs or syllables. All he has to do is smile and my brain shuts down to the point that I can't talk in complete sentences. I'm so lame!'
“KYOTO IS NOW BOARDING. IF THIS IS YOUR STOP, PLEASE GATHER YOUR LUGGAGE AND PROCEED TO THE EXIT.”
“Ah. This is where ray gets on!” sai stood up and fixed her clothes and hair. “Okay. You can do this. Just give it to him.” Sai took and deep breathe and tried to keep her blush down. She watched as ray got on the train with Tyson and max. They were all laughing about something.
“Yeah. Kai just sent me a text telling me all about it. Sai's sister bra flew to his apartment window. Her face was totally priceless.”
Max laughed. “Man, Kai's so lucky. I wish I had fan girls like his.”
Ray “You want a girl's lingerie on your apartment window?”
Sai stuttered to speak. Is it possible that he's too cute to speak to?
Tyson looked past ray and waved his arm. “Yo. Sai. How's it going?”
Max swung his arm around her shoulder. “How are you this morning?”
“I'm…uh…oh…hi…guys.” She said finally. `I can't give it to him with these guys around. Maybe another time.' She thought to herself sadly.
Sai tucked the letter back into her bag pocket and went back to her seat.
The others watched her silently.
“You know, her and her sister may seem the same and almost have the exact same name, but they're complete opposites. Mai is wild and crazy while sai is…” max trailed off.
“Sai is timid, shy, really intelligent, busy and she really athletic. But other than that she's totally weird. She's always sitting by herself and reading books.” Tyson commented.
Ray watched her silently. `Sai…'

(Skipping to free time at school.)
Sai sat in an empty class room typing on her laptop, occasionally looking up and down.
Mai bursts into the room. “SAI! I need to talk to you!”
She stormed over to sai's desk and slammed her hands down.
“Do you have any idea how angry I am at you right now?” she asked furiously.
Sai said deadpanned. “Not really. But judging by your radiating anger and your raised voice I might say you're angry. Though I don't really know. What's wrong?”
Mai pulled up a chair, sat down, and banged her head on the desk.
“Kai saw my bra this morning, all because you forgot to bring the laundry in this morning. Man, I'm so lame.” She covers her head with her hands.
Sai didn't turn away from her laptop screen and patted her sister's head.
“There, there. I know how you feel. I tried to give ray my letter but that plan blew out of the window and got ran over by a car.”
Mai propped her head on her head. “The readers must think of us as a couple of losers.”
Sai slightly gasp when she found a weird pop up on her laptop. “What's this?”
“What do you think? It's an annoying pop up.”
“I shouldn't. I blocked all pop ups and for some reason I can't x it out.”
“Read it anyway.”
“Have you ever wanted to be part of your favorite virtual video game? Where you're favorite game character comes to life and you get to battle along side them? That may seem like a far off dream, but play the proto type game, `Bey-saga.' Battle it out in a virtual game world. You can be a sorcerer, a warrior, a priest, a thief, anything. Go to the maski corp. to get a demo and a file to save your character appearance on.”
Mai gasps. “That's grandpa's corporation! I thought he died of illness.”
Sai gulped. “Maybe it's not grandpa. It could be uncle. You know that he spent a lot of time with grandpa.”
Mai nodded. “But…what's Bey-saga? Should we go check it out? You know you like anything that involves a new video game.” She cocks.
Sai shuts down her laptop and picks up her bag. “I don't think we should mess with this. Yeah, I'll look into it. But I definitely won't buy into it. It's just researching.” She said hurriedly and ran out the room. Mai. “She so wants to play that game. Not that I blame her…I want to play too.”
“What do you want to play?” a familiar voice said.
Mai jumped out of her seat and blushed. “Hey, kai. What's up?” she rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly.
“Hn. This is my next class. What are you doing here?” he asked.
“Talking to my sister about a weird e-mail. See ya.” She said quickly and ran past him.
Kai wanted to stop her before she left but missed his chance. She sighed and sat in the classroom in silence. `She gets away again.'

(Sai and Ray again! Up top was kai and mai.)

Sai rounded the corner while clutching her laptop. She leaned against the wall and sided down to the floor and lets her bag strap slide off her shoulder. She couldn't stop thinking about the pop up. It's true that she loves any kind of video game. She loved anything that worked with computers.
`But…did grandpa or uncle really send that pop up to us? Or is it just another ad?'
“What could it be?” she asked out loud.
“What could what be?” someone asked.
Sai jumped. Her book bag was open, so most of her papers fell out. “Oh! Shoot!”
She shuffled her papers around trying to pick them all up. The person who scared her helped pick up her stuff. “Sorry, sai. Didn't mean to scare ya.”
Sai smiled shyly. “Don't worry about it. Uh…Ray?” she jumped back slightly.
Ray handed her the last of her papers before noticing the little envelope with his name on it.
Sai quickly snatched it away. “That's nothing! Um, did you need something?”
Ray stood up. “Yeah. I was wondering if you were doing anything tomorrow.”
Sai almost dropped all her papers again. `Is he asking me out?!
“Why do you ask?” she asked while blushing.

“Well, I asked your sister about your interests and she told me that you like computers. I thought that instead of going somewhere like a hardware store, I would take you to a wild life preserve or an animal exhibit or the zoo.” He said happily.

“Yes! I would love to go! Anywhere is fine! I would love to go to the zoo with you.” she said happily. `This could be great! A whole day with the boy I love!'

Ray nodded and waved good-bye “Cool! See you there! I'll pick you up!”
Sai smiled goofily and waved a weak good-bye. `He's so cute!'

“I can't believe he asked you out. You do realize that it's just a friendship thing. Although I can't imagine why he would want to go out with a jerk like you.”

“Mariah…” sai said with displeasure. Sai knew very well about how close ray and Mariah are. It's just a friendship thing between them, but everyone thinks it's more.
“I don't see why you hold it against me. Ray should be free to ask any girl he wants to spend the day with him. You get to see him all the time so it shouldn't matter.” Sai stated.

“I'm just looking out for ray. He deserted me once and I don't want to lose him again.”
She said and walked away with her pink hair swishing side to side as she walked.
Sai gritted her teeth. “She's so annoying.”

(Last class of the day.)
Ding Dong
“YAWN! Awww…after school clean up duty again?” mai groaned.
“Too bad. I got it next week. To add to your misery you have clean up duty with kai and he'll do squat.” Sai said as she stuffed her bag. She stood up to leave until mai grabbed her arm. “Help me with clean up duty. It's I'll be like working by myself and it'll be no fun with that guy.”
Sai whispered. “You'll be just fine. You like him so it'll give you more time to admire him and try to get along with him.”

Mai said loud enough for kai to hear. “It's not fine. If kai's like mom, he'll worry about little details and he's a hothead. He's never satisfied.”

Kai said from behind. “Mai…I can hear you.”

Mai pulls the sides of her mouth and sticks her tongue out. “I'm saying it so you can!”

Sai “Stop it. You'll only stir him up. Anyway, I'll see you at home.”

(Sai's pov. I know I'm using her a lot. Sorry.)

Sai got off the train and continued to walk through town. She looked left and right looking for the Maski Corporation to find more information about Bey-saga. She found the building and went inside. She was amazed at the amount of teenagers that were gathered in there. A man with long brown haired called her over to the desk.

“Are you here for Bey-saga?” he asked.

“Uh… yes. I saw the ad and I wanted to get the demo and two file disks.”

“That's no problem. Come back anytime to see how it goes. Here's the equipment.”

He hands her two virtual goggles, a game consol, and two floppy disks.

“Directions are in the box. Have fun.”

Sai bowed respectfully before exiting. She went home in a hurry and hides the box under her bed. She wanted to test it out right now, but decided to wait. Now wasn't a good time.

Something didn't feel right about going into a game. She wanted to do research on it before playing. Something was tugging at her though something evil.

Phew. Done. I meant to do it right after the character page but never go the time. The next chapter is where most of the gaming and the dating will begin. A lot of ray and sai action. Sorry guys. I feel that ray doesn't get much attention. I love both kai and ray and they both get a fair share in the story. In the beginning of the next chapter there will be a game vocab. That I'll use throughout the story.

I'm glade I got it up when I did. Anyway. You all know what to do! No Flamers!!

LadyAmazon14 is logging off.
