Card Captor Sakura Fan Fiction ❯ Cards of Relm ❯ Chapter 7

[ A - All Readers ]

Disclaimer: I'm sure that all of you know as well as I do, that CCS
and Harry Potter does NOT, I repeat, DOES NOT belong to me. It belongs
to CLAMP and J.K. Rowling respectively. Geez, some people are really
jellyfish brained. (think Gourry from Slayers)

Chapter 7

~*~*~*~*~

Eriol flipped through the book again. "Nope, it's only been suggested
five times that Sakura may be Harry-san's girlfriend."

Touya growled softly. "That English gaki better not do anything to
Kaijuu..." he muttered. "If he does, I'm going to personally bash
him." Tomoyo and Eriol, apparently having superb hearing, sweatdropped
upon this.

"Ahem..." Tomoyo began reading with Eriol by her side, Touya sitting
cross-legged on a chair, Nakuru accidentally feeding Suppi the last of
a few sweets she had stashed away and Suppi crying for more sugar.

"SUGAR! SUGAR!" Suppi wailed, catching Eriol's attention. Eriol
glanced up, extremely annoyed.

"Nakuru, I would appreciate it if you watch what you're giving Spinel.
And as for you," he waved his hand. "You're going to be quiet. I need
and want to know what has happened to the card mistress." With that,
he resumed reading.

~*~*~*~*~

Sakura trudged somberly up to her room. She doubted she would get a
good night's rest although it was her first day at Hogwarts. She had
already sensed the card's presence a number of times.

"Password, please, Miss Kinomoto?" a portrait of an old kindly lady
stood in front of the door. Sakura looked carefully.

"HOOOEEEEEE!" she cried in surprise. Sakura certainly didn't remember
any portrait being placed on the door the first time she came.

"The Headmaster has asked me to protect your room only an hour ago,
please don't be so shocked." The old lady smiled at Sakura. She had an
old wrinkled face, but one that was filled with kindness and
generosity. She wore a long, white dress and had a luxurious string of
pearls around her neck. A butterfly-shaped clip adorned the left side
of her head.

"I-I'm sorry, but I don't know the password...um..." Sakura faltered.

"Marina, my name is Marina. It's okay if you don't know the password
the first time. Come here." Marina beckoned Sakura forward and
whispered into her ear, "Lemon Sherbet. And this password will be
changed next week." Sakura nodded.

"In that case, oyasumi nasai, Marina," Sakura said absent-mindedly.

"Oyasumi nasai? Hm? What's that?" Marina peered at her, curious.
Sakura blushed in embarrassment.

"Sorry, slip of the tongue, good night!" She squeaked before rushing
into the bedroom; she had learned that tactic from Syaoran - when in
embarrassment, mutter a reply and dash the hell out of there. Which
was what she did.

~*~*~*~*~

Yue meanwhile, was in a dilemma. Clow, please tell me what to do. Is
falling in lo- no, am I supposed to even like Sakura-sama? Isn't my
duty simply to protect her, as you requested me to? Tell me!
Onegai...Yue prayed to his former master, at the same time forming new
thoughts. Though that Harry is getting too close to Sakura-sama for
his own good. He had better stay away from my mistress...

~*~*~*~*~

As Harry prepared for bed, he could not help thinking of a certain
auburn-haired, green-eyed card mistress. He shook his head. Stop it,
Harry Potter! He admonished himself. All the same, he could not help
wishing that her brooding, protective guardian wasn't at her side.
Okay, Harry, stop thinking of Kinomoto Sakura! What about Cho?! He
raged at himself.

Ron noticed his troubled expression. "What's the matter, thinking of
Sakura?" he questioned mischievously. He got a pillow and a comforter
in his face, a `Shut up!' and a blush as a reward. "Okay, then, Sakura
and Cho?" A threat was awarded to him. "Fine, fine... Beat up your
best friend, why don' cha."

~*~*~*~*~

Sakura released her wand with specific additions, as Yue had told her.
To her surprise, an outfit similar to what Tomoyo would have designed
for her appeared. "Hoe?"

~*~*~*~*~

"Why would Sakura have an outfit?" Tomoyo turned her attention to
Eriol.

"Why, didn't I tell you that Relm was a famous fashion designer in the
fourteenth century?" Eriol smiled his enigmatic smile. Tomoyo shut her
eyes as if fighting back tears.

"Why?! WHY wasn't I transported along with Sakura-chan and Yue-san?"
She sobbed. Enormous sweatdrops mysteriously appeared on Touya, Nakuru
and Eriol's head.

"Ahem, so, Relm fixed his designs so that they would appear on Sakura
whenever she took out her wand." Eriol finished. Nakuru nodded in
understanding.

~*~*~*~*~

Sakura crept along the edge of a wall. "Eto... Where is this place? I
need to go to the lake. The Relm Card is there," Sakura whispered
worriedly to herself. "Darn... GLOW!" She whispered the last word a
bit louder than the rest of her words. The card illuminated her
surroundings and she found herself in between Ron and Harry's beds.
Ron, it seemed, had been long asleep, but Harry was a different
matter.

"Sakura! What are you doing in the boys' dormitory?" he asked in a
scandalized whisper.

~*~*~*~*~

Harry was glad for the dim glow of the light, for he could feel his
face flush. Just what is Sakura doing here? He waited patiently for
the girl's answer.

"Sorry, but I sensed the Relm Card's presence. I don't know how I
ended up here. I wanted to go to the lake," Sakura whispered back,
careful not to wake Ron. Harry nodded.

"In that case, may I come along with you?" Sakura hesitated, but then
nodded. That was when she remembered something important.

"Harry, do you mind if you would accompany me back to Yue's room. I
need him to be there and plus, I'm afraid of the ghosts." Harry
sighed, but agreed.

~*~*~*~*~

Yue spread his wings. His mistress's aura had been gone for half an
hour. If he hadn't been so deep in thought, he surely would have
noticed the fact earlier. But there was no use crying over spilt milk.
The only thing he could do now was to try and trace his mistress's
aura. Suddenly, Sakura's aura hit his senses. Sakura-sama is back. He
flew to his mistress's side immediately.

~*~*~*~*~

Just as Sakura raised her hand to knock on the door, it opened to
reveal Yue. A knit-browed, winged Yue. She blinked at Yue for a
second, but that single second was enough to let Yue and Harry
simultaneously clamp their hands over her hand in order to stop her
from crying out loud. Yue scowled at Harry while Harry threw an
annoyed glance at the moon guardian.

"May we go now?" Sakura put in her request politely. The
fifteen-year-old wizard and the moon guardian nodded but not before
throwing each other a glare.

Okay, two people have requested for more Sakura/Harry. I'm not sure
about how that should be accomplished, as it might be interesting to
see S/H, but I had originally intended for Y/S. I once saw a Rurouni
Kenshin fic in which there were two separate chapters at the end of
the story for the main character to be paired up with two. There was
Megumi in one chapter and Sayo in the other. Yup, it was a Sanosuke
fic. Please tell me in your reviews if you would want that. So,
meanwhile, I'm going to let Sakura be really confused about her
feelings for the both of them. (something like Meteor Garden, I
guess.) Oh, and one more thing, Sugar Plum's story isn't any worse
than mine. It could be that she sees the school being in CCS's world
and therefore mixes them together. It could bring some complications
for Sakura and Syaoran though, if Harry happens to like Sakura, just
like in my story? * grins evilly*
