Chapter 8

~*~*~*~*~

As Sakura neared the lake, she could smell something horrible. She
hurried to the scene where a teenager could be seen snapping her
fingers. At every snap, a piece of ground or a bush could be seen
bursting into flames.

"Yue, what is the card's name?" she whispered, a frown marring her
features.

"It's the Fire, Sakura-sama," Yue answered respectfully. Sakura
nodded.

"In that case... WINDY! WATERY!" Two humanoid forms appeared out of
the cards while Harry found himself watching in awe.

It's a different type of magic altogether and it's incredible. He told
himself. Definitely incredible.

The card whipped her head around to reveal a pretty face frowning.
With a snarl, she threw flames at the two Sakura cards. Windy let
spirals of wind surround the Fire; Watery wrapped her hands around the
Relm card.

Sakura could see the card weakening.

"Return to thy true form, Relm Card!"

The weakened card was promptly sealed and floated into the card
mistress's hand. "The Fire..."

"Wow, you were awesome, Sakura," Harry praised Sakura. Sakura flushed
in embarrassment.

"Th-thank you." After all, she couldn't possibly run away at that
particular moment.

~*~*~*~*~

Nearly Headless Nick wandered through the halls of Hogwarts. "How
boring," he yawned. "Being a ghost is no fun at all, and they've yet
again to accept me into the Headless Hunt!" He drifted further towards
the dormitories. Then he saw something moving.

~*~*~*~*~

Sakura moved about cautiously, wary of the ghosts who tended to move
around. Suddenly, she saw the ghost of her house. She struggled to
stay silent. She crouched closer to Harry and Yue. "There's a
y-yulin!" she whispered urgently.

~*~*~*~*~

Harry froze when he felt Sakura move closer to him. His heartbeat
raced and his cheeks felt hot. Dear God... Then he heard her whisper
something about a yulin. Hm? What's that?

~*~*~*~*~

Yue grew concerned when his mistress moved considerably closer to
himself and Harry. He heard her mention a `yulin'. He looked up and
saw Gryffindor's house ghost, Nearly Headless Nick. Touya, I wish you
hadn't made Sakura so frightened of ghosts! Yue snapped at Touya in
his mind.

He tried to reassure Sakura, who was frightened out of her wits for
the time being. "Sakura-sama, the ghost has gone. You should go back
to bed." Sakura slowly nodded, her heart was still beating wildly.

"H-ha-hai, Yue. Good night, Harry." Sakura allowed Yue to take her to
her room.

~*~*~*~*~

Nearly Headless Nick snorted. "A witch afraid of a ghost? Ridiculous!"
he huffed.

~*~*~*~*~

Touya sneezed. Tomoyo and Eriol looked up in surprise.

"Touya-san, I think Yue-san was thinking about you." Tomoyo quickly
handed the book over. Touya browsed through the two paragraphs. Almost
at once, he became guilt-stricken.

~*~*~*~*~

Harry woke up to a bright morning. If only the day could last like
this... he sighed wistfully. Unfortunately, this was not to be so as
he had Potions with Snape, the greasy-haired, hook nosed unpleasant
professor, as well as Divination with Professor Trelawney, who was
almost as bad as Snape by loving to predict his death every lesson. Oh
well, time to go for breakfast.

~*~*~*~*~

Sakura slipped on her robes and walked slowly to the Hall, deep in her
thoughts. In her pocket were the Sakura cards and one Relm card by the
name of `The Fire'. I wonder how's Tomoyo-chan. She's probably back in
her house. Oh, I'd better check my schedule!

She fished out a scrap of paper from her pocket. "Let's see... History
of Magic by Professor Binns," Sakura gave a shudder. Another ghost.
"Divination, Professor Trelawney, yada... Herbology, Professor
Sprouts, Defence against the Dark Arts... Professor Lupin?!" Sakura's
heart gave a leap of joy. She remembered the teacher from book number
two of the series. "And, Potions... dame... it's Snape, and History of
Clow, of course... Yue." She smiled inwardly at that.

The door suddenly opened. "Hoe?" The Great hall greeted her. Her eyes
were reduced to dots immediately. Hermione spotted her.

"Good morning, Sakura! Have a seat!" Sakura sat down to her breakfast.
However, she was not very used to English breakfasts yet.

~*~*~*~*~

Yue stood at the corner of the Hall where no one could see him. Damn,
fate really loves to play jokes. As if I love attention! He grumbled
sourly in his mind. But, it was better to spread the legacy of Clow
than to do nothing at all. His physical frown deepened. If he had said
it once, he said it a thousand times. I HATE Fate.

~*~*~*~*~

Sakura sat tiredly at her desk as Professor Binns rambled on about the
Fairy Era, how the fairies were of help to almost everybody, how they
almost eliminated the need for house elves, so on and so forth. She
yawned. This is so boring. I wonder if Hermione is listening. She was.
Wow. Sakura silently applauded the studious girl. On the other hand,
Ron and Harry looked as bored to death as her.

Finally, the bell rang. Sakura sighed in relief and packed her things
as fast as she could. She hurried to take her copy of Unfogging the
Future.

I'm sorry for making this so short; I promise the next one will be at
least four pages long in Microsoft Word. Gomen. And watch out for two
cards in the next chapter.
