Chapter 8: Where Are You Taking Me?
--
Lord Jin Tai Morimoto,
I have persuaded the Lord Syaoran to remain at the Northern castle for two more weeks with his Lady. You may, if you please, send in the troops anytime within that bracket.
General of Armes

Sakura and Syaoran sat beside each other at the head of the table, dining with the rest of the people, none of whom Sakura recognized. She knew a few of the men from the office she had gone into that day but she had no idea who exactly they were. So she continued to poke at her roasted chicken.
“Mi'lady,” Syaoran poked her rib and Sakura tried not to jump, shooting him a glare.
“Don't do that!” She hissed and he smirked.
“Why aren't you eating?” He raised a brow. Sakura glanced over at his plate and saw a pound of mashed potatoes with gravy seeping over the sides and her mouth watered. She then looked back at her chicken and found it was dry and cold.
“My food doesn't look edible.” She pushed the plate away and everybody looked up, gasping slightly. Syaoran shot them all a glare.
“Replace the food. Fresh food. NOW!”
The servants scurried around, grabbing the Sakura's plate and running off. Sakura shook her head and glanced at Syaoran. “Unnecessary much? I'm not even hungry.”
“A growing Princess needs her food!”
“Shut up Syaoran.” Sakura snorted as a plate appeared in front of her, the servant placing it lightly before running off. The chicken seemed fresh, the mashed potatoes were mouth watering and there was steamed rice. Sakura could've eaten like a pig, but she was a Princess. Too dainty to do anything like a guy.
“Better now?” Syaoran teased the Princess who shot him a dangerous look before turning back to her food. Syaoran chuckled, turning his attention back to his men, restarting a conversation about the Wolf migration that had started due to the Morimoto attack…
--
Sakura sighed, rather sadly, as she stood in the balcony of Syaoran's bedroom. The servants were cleaning out her room and Syaoran had offered for her to stay in his room while they fixed her sleeping arrangements.
Sakura's hair was pulled to one side over her shoulder as she adorned a pale pink kimono, examining the Ookami Realm. It was very different from her homeland of Thyrza. Where Thyrza had more industry than village, Ookami Realm had more village than industry. In Thyrza, blacksmith and tailors were on every street corner and there were horse-drawn buggy taxis on every bend in the road.
In the Ookami Realm, however, people walked, and they were more family than strangers. Thyrza was the land of strangers.
Ookami Realm was the land of family.
Or so what Sakura had examined so far. She sighed, a long wistful sigh, and had failed to realize that the King of the Ookami Realm was standing right behind her, examining her petit figure, much to his pleasure.
“Ahem?” Syaoran coughed and Sakura turned around, looking rather surprised.
“Hi…” Sakura greeted and Syaoran tilted his head, his hand on his chin.
“You seem bored.” He observed and Sakura rolled her eyes.
“I'm standing in your castle with my magic forbidden—one would figure I'm bored?”
Syaoran laughed as he walked over to her and stood beside her, both of them looking over the castle courtyard. Sakura smiled softly as she saw a ghostly white horse gallop past, still within the race-tracks of the castle.
“Selena,” Syaoran offered, “the fastest horse in the land.”
“Oh?”
Syaoran nodded as Sakura leaned on her elbows over the rails that held them inside the vicinity of the balcony. “How're you doing?” Syaoran randomly asked as Sakura shot him a quizzical glance.
“Fine…” She answered slowly as he nodded, looking back out of the balcony. Sakura sighed as she idly glanced at him, studying his profile. He was, without a doubt, very good looking. He treated people with much respect and his looks didn't fail him either.
All in all, he was, what one would consider, the perfect man. Sakura looked over the balcony again, slouching slightly, not caring that she was a Princess.
“Why me?” She whispered. He had already told her before, but she really wanted to know. She wanted to know why he had made her come, why her of all magicians in the world.
“Pardon?” Syaoran raised a brow, looking directly at her. Sakura knew he was looking at her, but she held her gaze glued to the horizon of the setting sun.
“Why did you bring me to be your bride? Out of all the magicians in the land, why did you want me?”
Syaoran sighed as he broke his gaze off of her
“You possess Clow Magic,” he murmured slowly as Sakura shook her head.
“So?”
“Clow is the strongest magician of time,” Syaoran said in a tight voice, “it's in my line to marry only the strongest females.”
“There are stronger magicians.”
Syaoran growled as he pushed off the banister and walked back into his room. Sakura's eyes widened as she turned around, staring after him, confused as to why he wouldn't answer her.
“Why won't you answer?” She demanded.
“Because I don't want to.” Syaoran roared back, catching Sakura off guard. He never yelled, and he especially never yelled at her in the few days she was in the Ookami Realm. Sakura jumped and squeaked, fear striking her face.
Syaoran's eyes widened as he saw how scared Sakura seemed at that moment. When Syaoran yelled, he was rather frightening, and he had never intended to scare Sakura… it wasn't in his intention at all.
“Sakura…” Syaoran stepped forward but she walked past him, in a hurry, wanting to leave his presence immediately. Syaoran closed his eyes and let his hand fall as Sakura, quietly, exited his room…
“Dammit!” He cursed. He had gotten touché; he didn't want to tell her the real reason why he only needed the Clow Princess…
In fact, he wasn't too sure of his reasons either.
--
A few of the wolves and located Sakura and hung around her for a bit. Sakura's room was already cleaned out and she was sitting on her bed, talking to the three wolves that were around her.
“Misters,” A young wolf cub sat on Sakura's lap, speaking, “how is the Earth Realm?”
“Very different,” Sakura murmured, failing to realize that Syaoran was leaned against her door, “for one, Wolves don't talk.”
The young wolf gasped, her eyes widening in shock. “Really?”
“You're stupid, Arianne,” another wolf, Ayashi, shot, “of course wolves don't talk there! The Lord Syaoran gave us the art of speech.”
Arianna snarled. “Shut up Ayashi!”
“But of you shut up!” The third wolf, a male wolf, Akira, snarled.
Sakura rolled her eyes. “The three of you, don't be mean. Arianne is still a cub, so she won't know. Ayashi don't tell your sister to shut up and Akira! Don't be mean to Ayashi and Arianne.”
The three wolves bowed their heads and let Sakura continue speaking. Syaoran was amused at how motherly she was, and there was a tinge in the pit of his stomach.
Akira shook his head and his eyes landed on the lord, and he gasped.
“Lord!”
Arianne jumped off of Sakura's lap and buried her nose in her paws. “I'm so sorry lord!” She whimpered, “The Lady Sakura said it was alright for me to sit on her lap! Please!”
Syaoran chuckled low. “Arianne,” he said softly, “its okay.”
Arianne's head came out of her paws and her eyes hopeful. “Really?”
Syaoran nodded. “Yes. Now, Arianne, Ayashi, Akira,” Syaoran addressed all three of the wolves, “it's late and I need the wolves back in their dens.”
Akira bore his fangs. “So you're sensing it too?”
Syaoran nodded. “Yeah I am. Did your father tell you anything, Akira?”
Akira shook his head, scratching his head with his paw. “No Lord,” Akira said, “but father did say that the Wolf auras from the other three nations are tensing up.”
“We all realized that,” Syaoran nodded, “anything specific?”
Akira shook his head, “No, sire.” He said. “But father did…” Akira glanced at Sakura before walking over to Syaoran and barked. Syaoran's eyes widened as Sakura sat there, confused. Arianne and Ayashi, both their expressions changed grim as Syaoran nodded.
“Tell Kaoru that I'll speak to him at dawn,” Syaoran said, addressing Akira's father. Akira nodded as he left with Ayashi and Arianne, heading back to their den.
“You understand wolf?” Sakura asked, pointedly not facing him as she walked to the dresser and examined herself in the mirror.
“I am the Lord of the Wolf Realm,” Syaoran muttered dryly as Sakura nodded, rather slowly as she picking up a brush and started brushing her hair. Syaoran sighed as he walked over to her and stood directly behind her.
“I'm sorry,” He murmured, his hands wrapping around Sakura's waist, slowly. Sakura stiffened, remaining rigid in his arms as he buried his face in the crook of her neck.
“What- what're you doing?” She gasped.
“Apologizing,” he smirked in her neck, “in Wolf terms.”
“Wolves do not apologize like this,” She hissed as she tried to push him off of her, but Syaoran held onto her waist rather strongly, his thumb drawing circles at her hip, causing a shiver to run up her spine.
“Yes they do.” Syaoran murmured, placing a feathery kiss on her neck. Sakura jerked her head to the left and shoved Syaoran again, making him get off of her.
“Don't do that!” She said darkly as she turned around and picking up a clip from the dresser and put it in her hair. Syaoran ran his fingers through his hair. The sun had set definitely and darkness had enveloped the lands, telling the inhabitants to go to sleep. Sakura smothered a yawn that came and Syaoran moved closer to her again.
“Sakura…” he murmured as she glanced at him.
“I'm sorry for yelling,” He whispered as he sat down on her bed. Sakura could tell that he was, truly, sorry for bursting out in anger and she sighed in defeat.
“It's okay, Lord.” She said as she sat down beside him, folding her hands in her lap. Syaoran smiled softly as he examined her profile.
“Just- my…actions is a tough subject for me to discuss,” he admitted, “especially if it concerns my future wife.”
Sakura rolled her eyes. “Who says I'm marrying you, Lord?”
“Me.”
Sakura crossed her arms and grinned at him, “What if I chose to marry one of those servants of you?!”
Syaoran playfully gasped. “I'll turn him into a wolf,” Syaoran brought his right hand out, “just like…” he snapped, “that…”
Just as Syaoran snapped, a silver chain appeared in his hand, with a wolf insignia on it. Sakura's eyes widened, as she stared at it in wonder. Syaoran unlocked the chain and slipped it around Sakura's neck, who in turn, gasped in shock.
“Wha-what're you doing?”
Syaoran smiled secretively as he finished hooking the pendant.
“Can't a man shower a woman in gifts?”
“Certainly but…”
“Then?” Syaoran raised a brow, “How are you any different?”
“You captured me?” Sakura said, blatantly. Syaoran rolled his eyes. “So?”
Sakura touched the pendant softly as Syaoran leaned forward and kissed her cheek, his lips lingering there.
“Goodnight,” he whispered, “Princess Wolf.”
--
Sakura awoke the next morning as Syaoran's maidservants rushed into her room, with some modern clothing at their hand and many hair ornaments. Sakura groaned as they shook her out of bed and pushed her into the bathroom, preparing to wash her.
“What's happening?” Sakura groaned.
“The Lord as summoned for you, and he wishes you to be in proper attire.” One of the maids answered as they lathered Sakura's hair in a wonderful smelling shampoo. Sakura wondered what was happening but didn't complain. Syaoran, often, sent for emergency wakeup calls for her.
Sakura was dressed in a pale pink skirt that ended just at her knees, a plain skirt, however it was creased and ruffled, as decoration. The maids put on a sleeveless on Sakura. Sleeveless that tied behind her neck. Sakura's hair was tied up in a ponytail with a headband just behind her bangs.
They put Sakura down on the bed as they slipped flip-flops onto her feet, leaving Sakura staring at her feet in wonder.
“What am I wearing?” She asked one of the maids who smiled at her.
“As the lord,” the maid said as they told Sakura to go to the stables, directed her and everything, and then handed her a bundle of food.
“The Lord directed us to give this to you and go to the stables.” One of the maids said and Sakura nodded, leaving immediately. Back in Sakura's room, the elder maid smiled warmly.
“I'd say the Lord has fallen in love.” She grinned as the other two giggled, going off to do their jobs.
--
Sakura found the stables and spotted Syaoran grooming Selena, the ghostly white horse Sakura had sent the previous night. Her eyebrows rose immediately as he saw that Selena was saddled, with Syaoran holding onto the reins.
“Syaoran?” Sakura raised a brow as Syaoran smiled, waving her down.
“I see the maids have given you the stuff I requested for.” Syaoran said, amused, as he took the bundle out of her hands and put it into a pouch that was saddled with the horse.
“What're you doing?” She screamed as he lifted her up from around the waist and placed her on Selena. Sakura was side saddling the horse as Syaoran mounted the horse, sitting behind Sakura, his arms going around her to hold onto the reins.
“Where are you going?” Sakura asked as he made Selena start off on a slow trot.
“You'll see,” Syaoran smirked as Sakura held onto his riders shirt, digging her head into his shirt. She hated heights and she hated speed. In short, she hated riding horses that were fast…
“Oh Sakura,” Syaoran teased, “you'll be fine.”
“Says you.”
Syaoran chuckled. “Alright, if Selena goes on a wild bucking spree, I promise I'll return your Clow Magic for that moment of time.”
Sakura rolled her eyes. “Yeah right!”
“Alright, I won't,” Syaoran grinned as he started going faster, causing Sakura to squeak.
“Syaoran! Slow down!”
“Says you…” Syaoran taunted. Sakura screamed as the horse jumped a fence and Syaoran boomed in laughter, causing Sakura's tiny fist to punch him in his chest.
“You are the meanest Lord I've ever met.”
“And you are the prettiest Lady I've ever met.” Syaoran simply replied as Sakura tried to hide her blush.
“So where are you taking me?” Sakura asked as Syaoran slowed down a bit. He merely smirked as he continued riding, his body close to Sakura's. Sakura, finding the courage, lifted her head up and sucked in a breath of air seeing the lands whiz past them.
Beautiful… she thought as she saw trees flash past their eyes.
“You'll see,” Syaoran merely replied as Sakura leaned against him, staring at the lands around them.
I guess I will see…She thought, smiling silently to herself…

“MY SISTER WHAT?” Touya roared as he ran into their castle. His eyes were burning with anger and loathing as Takashi, Eriol and Mika, three of the workers in the castle, rushed to him.
“What happened to her, Eriol?” Touya asked Eriol. Eriol wasn't necessarily a worker in the castle. He possessed some magic so he was put in charge of the Magicians of the royal castle.
“She was taken by the Ookami Lord,” Eriol reported, “Li Syaoran.”
“And you couldn't get her back?” Touya twitched.
Takashi shook his head. “No, sire. We have no means of going there.”
“Can't you rip a portal through?” Touya snarled. Eriol nodded.
“We can, but only with high excessive magic. Perhaps with my magic and your magic,” Eriol said, referring to Touya's ability to see into the world of the dead, “we can create a portal that can be open for a few days.”
Touya scowled. “Make arrangements. If that's what we have to do, then we'll do it!”
“But sire!” Mika called.
“NO BUTS! DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO AND REPORT TO ME!”
Eriol, Mika and Takashi gulped and nodded as they scooted off, preparing the union of two magic. The portal between the realms could only be open by either the Ookami lord, or when enough magic was pooled together.
Eriol lacked that much magic, so combining his magic with Touya's should be enough to open a portal for four days.
Touya rushed up to his room, his mind set on one thing…
I'll get my sister back!
