Chapter 10: Trouble Arising: Part 2

Sakura nodded dumbly as she folded the blanket while Syaoran quickly went to call their mare. Without a further moment of hesitation, he mounted Sakura and then himself and began riding back to their castle, the arrow that was shot pocketed firmly in his back pocket…
--
They arrived back at the castle and Syaoran helped dismount Sakura as he came off first. Wrapping his arm around her waist he turned to the stable boy. “Put Selena back.”
The boy nodded as he grabbed the reigns and went to put the horse back. Silently, he guided Sakura back to the main castle. On their way back, he found a guard and he whistled him over.
“Call Ryu to come to this castle quickly. I need to discuss something. Call a meeting in my office promptly for this afternoon. Understood?”
The guard nodded and ran off; doing what his Prince instructed him to do. Sakura raised a brow up at him. “What's wrong?” Sakura asked as Syaoran shook his head.
“Nothing, mi'lady,” He said, “just something came to my mind that I forgot to take care of a little while back.”
Sakura frowned. “So you suddenly remember when I almost get arrowed? Syaoran,” She said daringly and he caste a sidelong glance towards her, “tell me. I think I'm in just as much danger as you pose your realm to be and without my magic, I think I have the right to know what is happening.”
“It's nothing,” Syaoran said, “don't worry about anything. With or without your magic, you are going to be the most guarded person in the entire realm for acting as my bride-to-be,” ignoring the look she gave him, Syaoran continued, “and nobody will let any harm come to you. Trust me.”
“That still doesn't explain anything,” Sakura murmured as they entered the main castle, “I want to know what's going on Syaoran.”
“And you will know,” Syaoran said, “but not just now. Right now it's nothing.”
“Doesn't seem like nothing.” Sakura murmured and Syaoran chuckled.
“Go to your room and do Princessy stuff. I have to go and take care of some business.”
Sakura merely rolled her eyes as she wiggled out of Syaoran's grasp. “Fine, but if there is anything wrong within your Realm, I want my powers back, understood Lord Ookami?”
“Perfectly Ookami-hime,” He winked at her causing Sakura to gasp. Turning around, Syaoran walked away, leaving Sakura to ponder, standing still in her spot.
That man is so different it's definitely not funny anymore.

“Expel all of our magic?” Touya asked, his eyes widened, “For how long?”
Eriol shrugged, not really knowing. “As long as it takes for our body to regenerate it's magical powers. In cases of strong magicians like Sakura herself it'll take longer than weaker magicians.”
“So how strong are we, compared to Sakura?” Touya raised a brow. He was determined to get his sister back, no matter what he encountered or what happened in the Ookami Realm, Touya was sure, positive, determined to get back the Princess of Thyrza.
“Compared to Sakura, I come close,” Eriol murmured, “so my magic can take months to regenerate. You aren't as strong as Sakura but you aren't that weak either so I'd say a couple weeks?”
“And how long can the portal stay open for, based on our magic?” Touya said, wondering about the time he had to save his sister. He didn't have weeks if they were using up his and Eriol's magic to enter the Ookami Realm. His plan? Break in, sneak around and find his sister within the given time limit the portal stayed open for.
“Uhm…” Eriol was stuttering, it wasn't good news.
“Say it!” Touya blared, his nervousness hounding him.
“I'd say…four days…give or take?”
Touya paled. Recovering rather quickly, he turned back to Eriol, “How long will preparation take to set up the portal?”
“Give me a week Sire,” Eriol said, “and I can get all the necessities to open a dimension rip between our realm and Lord Ookami's realm.”
“And then?”
“Then it's a matter of two days to eject all of our magical powers to keep the portal open for how many days we can keep it open for.”
“Will depleting my magic affect my capabilities?” Touya inquired. If he was to go into the realm without magic, Touya wanted to know if his body would still be useful. Instead of blasting possible demons away, Touya would hack, slice and tear them with his sword.
“Not that I know of.”
Touya nodded. “Alright, prepare the portal.” Spinning on his heel, he left the room, anger surging through him.
I'll get you back Sakura, oh trust me, I will.

“My Lady has been shot by an arrow,” Syaoran snarled in his meeting room. His cousin, Ryu, was standing beside him in Wizards robes, his formal attire for such meetings with the King of the Ookami Realm, “and I want to know why my guards weren't present? I had clearly stated that the guards secure the parameters of the forest where I was going incase sneak attacks happened? It was pure luck that Sakura wasn't scarred in any way.” Pausing slightly, Syaoran stood up, a horrible expression on his face.
“I swear on all my wolves, if Sakura had gotten a single knick on her skin, I would've put you through such training you would've WISHED you never entered my army. ARASHI!” Syaoran roared as the general of arms stood up.
“Yes sire?” Arashi saluted him, stuttering slightly.
“I clearly told you to keep twenty five men surrounding the area I was at. WHY and HOW did a fucking arrow pull through and almost hurt her? HOW?!”
Arashi looked up in fear to the King. “I…I don't know sire…”
“You don't know?” Syaoran raised a brow, anger rushing through his veins. “I can just accidentally throw my sword at your unnecessary huge head and use the excuse of oh, I don't know how it happened. IS THAT REASONABLE?!”
Arashi shook his head. “No sire…” Flicking his eyes to look out the window, Arashi had to keep himself from gasping seeing catapults being rolled into the Castle back area.
“I want all of the men going into inten…”
“ALL MEN TO STATION! WE'RE BEING ATTACKED!” A voice rang through the castles and Syaoran's eyes widened as he rushed to the window to find bombs being placed on catapults.
“TAKE COVER!” He roared as he ran out of the room with his cousin.
“The hell is going on Syaoran?!” Ryu snarled. “Sakura almost gets arrowed and now we're under attack?”
“It's fucking Jin Tai dammit!” They were both heading towards Sakura's bedroom. “That bastard! I swear there's a traitor in this damn castle. How else do you propose their arrow almost hits her?”
“Has to be in the Army though.” Ryu said as they jumped over a tipped over vase. The castle shook with explosions and things started toppling over. Ryu nearly slipped and clutched the drapes of the window before pushing off the wall and running through another corridor.
“Why the hell is her bedroom so far?” Ryu roared as Syaoran took a sharp left, both of them sweating and panting.
“How the shit do I know? I just gave her a room close to mine!”
“Why is your room so far?” Ryu asked rather sarcastically. Finally, they arrived at Sakura's bedroom and Syaoran tore open, seeing Sakura pushed up against the wall. Her dresser had fallen flat onto her bed.
“SAKURA!” He roared running into her room. More explosions happened and Syaoran silently cursed.
Why isn't Arashi attacking? He asked himself as he pulled some crap aside and made it to Sakura. She threw herself onto him and he hugged her tightly. Lifting her up bridal style, he carefully stepped around the rubble and broken glass on the floor.
“We have to get her out of here,” Syaoran said to his cousin, “I need to send her back to my castle.”
“My carriage is still pulled in the front,” Ryu said, “You can take her back?”
“No,” Syaoran said urgently. Sakura held onto Syaoran tightly watching him and his cousin argue, “I have to stay here dammit! It's Jin Tai attacking. Ryu you take her back.”
“The fuck! I'm an asset you bastard, I'm not going and let you die here.”
“You're going to DIE?!” Sakura shrieked, looking at the King. Syaoran, changing his personality within the blink of an eye, smiled down at Sakura.
“No mi'lady, I'll be perfectly fine. I just need to get you out of here.”
“What's going on? Syaoran put me down!” She demanded but Syaoran held onto her tighter.
“I'll send the driver and two guards, how does that sound?” Syaoran asked his cousin who nodded.
“That's fine but you need to send somebody trustworthy with her too.”
“Why don't you go and come back then?” Syaoran asked Ryu who contemplated what he said. Frowning he shook his head.
“You go. Make sure she arrives there safely and then you can come back to stop all this bullshit. Why the hell isn't Arashi calling an attack?” Ryu roared as he gripped onto the doorframe to keep his footing.
“I have no idea. My feelings are that he's the bloody traitor.”
Ryu nodded in agreement before speaking. “Get Sakura and yourself out of here quickly! Do it without being seen, I'll go try to stop the attacks.”
“Yeah.” Syaoran nodded before both of them ran in separate directions. Sakura clutched Syaoran even harder.
“What's happening?” She whispered but Syaoran smiled warmly down at her.
“Oh regular stuff, calling war on my lands… I'm gonna get you back to my castle and come back here to finish their asses off. Will you be okay?”
“Forget me, will you be okay?”
A warm sensation ran through Syaoran feeling cared about by a woman. Nodded, he gave her a rather luxurious smile. “I'll be fine, on one condition though.”
Syaoran had already left the castle and ran to the carriage. Two guards were beside it and seeing Syaoran's look, they hopped in, knowing they were going to protect the King and his lady on a journey.
“And that is?” Sakura was curious. Placing her down, Syaoran helped her get into the carriage. The guard was holding the door open. Stepping in beside her, he pulled the door shut and the driver sped off. They weren't seen.
“If you're still here when I come back…”
