Stay with me!

Chapter 9: 'With love, Yelan.'

*By: NightAngel*

[Last Chapter]

"Eriol-kun, I missed you so much!" - and for the second time I lost my temper and cried out like never before. He was back ... the man I loved was back...

[Last Chapter]

"I missed you too." - Eriol said, trying to act cool. Truth was that he was surprised by her sudden reaction when recognising him. Tomoyo had always been the best when it came to hide her true emotions. He was also surprised to see her out here all alone, at this time of the night.

"When did you come back?" - Tomoyo asked, crying. Mind as well tell you that it was the first time Eriol had seen her cry.

"Just a few hours ago. But, tell me … what are you doing out here?" - he couldn't help but grin when she blushed.

"I decided to take a walk. It's such a wonderful night, isn't it?" - Eriol could've swear it was the firts time he ever saw Tomoyo embarrassed.

"Who am I to complain? Are you going somewhere? Do you want me to go with you?" - he asked politely as usual.

"Actually I was only wondering around. What about you?" - she finally took her arms from around him, but anyone could see that he had rather keep them the way they were before.

"I'm looking for someone." - he said seriously.

"Really? Who is it? Maybe I can help you!" - she said excitedly. Glad to be able to acomplsh something for her beloved Eriol.

"I doubt it! I actually don't even have a clue in which city he is." - and for a second there he looked actually concerned.

"Try me!" - he smiled at her cutness, and for the first time he noticed how much she had growned in only five years. She was now a beautiful girl (not that she wasn't before).

"Ok! His name is Xiao Lang Li. Chocolate brown messy hair and amber eyes. He is about my height and is our age too." - Tomoyo though about it for a while ... (Tomoyo doesn't know Syaoran's chinese name.)

"Well, i do know someone who fits that description, but his name is Syaoran Li and not X - Xi - Xia ... whatever."

"That's him!" - Eriol yelled while grabbing Tomoyo by the arms. - "Do you know where he is? Do you? Please tell me, it's really important." - Tomoyo was a little taken aback after Eriol shacked the hell out of her.

"Ok! I'll bring you to him, just don't shake me like that." - he sighed and apologised. - "No problem. Follow me." - and the two walked side by side in an awful silence.

Finally Tomoyo was the one to break the silence. - "So ... what's new? I'm sure you've got lets to tell." - she asked excitedly.

"Nothing much actually. But I missed you all very much." - Tomoyo blushed a deep red and Eriol grinned. - "What about you? I'm sure a beauty such as you has a big fan club. Do you have a boyfriend?" - when he said that, one could see some kind of fear in his eyes. But to his surprise, Tomoyo started laughing. - "What's wrong?"

"Oh Eriol-kun you're so funny! Me having a fan club. Right! In my dreams." - she stopped laughing and sighed.

"What'a so wrong about that?" - he asked confused.

She looked up at him quizzingly - "Do you actually think anyone would bbe interested in the school's nerd?" - she seemed to be close to tears when saying that.

"You are joking right?" - he asked seriously.

"Of course not! They only respect me because I'm Sakura's best friend, and she used to be a cheerleader, that's all."

"But that's stupid. You were never the nerd of the school, besides ... you're beautiful." - she blushed at that remark, but remained silent for a while.

"Things change. People change." - and that was the last bit of conversation that had, before reaching their destination. - "We're here." - she stated.

He looked up into the big mansion and norrowed his eyes. - "Isn't this Sakura's place?"

"Correct!" - Tomoyo rang the bell.

"Then what are we doing here?" - before she ~could answer him, a voice came from the intercom.

<Yes! Who's there?> - it was Fujitaka.

"It's me Tomoyo. Can I see Sakura-chan please?"

<Sure. Come on in!> - soon the gates opened automatically, and finally Tomyo answered Eriol's question.

"You'll see Eriol-kun." - when they reached the front doors, Fujitaka was there waiting for them.

"Goodnight, Tomyo-chan, Eriol-san." - Fujitaka greeted.

"Goodnight Fujitaka-san." - they both said at the same time..

"I din't knew you had come back? When did you arrive Eriol-san?" - Fujitaka asked politly, as he invited them both inside.

"I just arrived Fujiatak-san. How are you and Touya-san?"

"Fine thank you! Bnut you came here to see Sakura. Please go upstairs. She and Syaoran are still up." - the two thanked the kind man and went upstairs.

"Syaoran is with Sakura-chan?" - Eriol asked with a grin plasterde in his face.

"Patience ... patience." - when tehy reached the op of the stairs, they saw that Sakura's door was slightly open and that the lights were on. So they decided to peek inside.

... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

Inside the room:

Syaoran and Sakura were on the bed. Sakura was between Syaoran's legs, and Kero was on Syaoran's shoulder. The three were looking down at a book that Syoaran had in his hands.

"Syaoran-kun look for something about 'swollen breats'." - Sakura asked calmly, while gently touching her breats.

"What?!?" - Syaoran asked, getting all red in the face.

"I've been feeling them swollen and I want to know if it's a normal reaction. C'mon!" - she grumped, while Kero muttered a small <Poor kid!> under his breath.

Syaoran sighed and started looking for that on the index of the book. - "The things I have to do for you."

"You're doing it for the baby. Stop whining." - you could see she wasn't in her best mood.

"I though swinging moods wouldn't come until later on, you know?" - he said tiredly.

"I'm sorry! I've been a pain the ass lately, haven't I?" - she asked sweetly, and he couldn't help but smile.

"It's ok. I should know what I was getting myself into." - he finally found what he was looking for. -"Here it is! Swollen breatss is a sensation regnant woman get after the first month of gestation. It's a most natural thing because it indicates that her system is creating the milk she will later on feed the baby with. One should not be alarmed by this. It's a most perfectly normal efect of pregnancy ..." - and he went on and on about it. - "See? Nothing to worry about."

"That's a relief. For a moment there, I though my breasts were about to explode or something." - Kero and Syaoran couldn't contain their laugh. - "It's not funny." - she said with a hurt face.

But they were all interrupted when two figures came inside the room, without knocking.

"Well, well, well. Here I was, worried about my cute little descendent, and I found him happy and healthy, What a big surprise." - Soon the whole room was silent. Until Syaoran's eyes snapped open.

"Eriol?" - he asked, not believing his own eyes.

"Eriol-kun?" - Sakura repeated.

"Master Clow?" - Kero asked, as surprised.

"In the flesh. Well except that I'm Clow's reencarnation." - he said with a sly grin.

"Eriol-kun." - Sakura jumped off the bed and into Eriol's arms. - "We missed you. When did you arrive?"

"Just a few hours ago." - but he never took his eyes from the boy, still sitting on the bed. Kero noticed and though it was strange.

Finally Sakura noticed this too and looked from Eriol to Syaoran, confused. - "What's wrong with you guys?" - Sakura asked puzzled.

"We need to talk Syaoran." - Eriol commanded and Syaoran nodded getting up from the bed. He guided Eriol downstairs, to the basement where no one would disturb them.

"Hoe! I don't get it. Tomoyo-chan, what's going on?" - Sakura asked, while they watched the two boys dissapear.

"I don't know Sakura-chan. I don't know!"

Here's a cliffy! But .... this was real short wans't it?

So here comes a gift for you all ...

Syaoran and Eriol finally reached the basement. Kero had been on Syaoran's shoulder all the time. They closed the door behind them.

"Should I leave, kid?" - Kero asked uncertain.

"For me, you can stay Keroberos." - Eriol said with a smile.

"Yeah, stay!" - Syaoran answered calmly. - "What brought you here Eriol? For all I know, the elders can't take anything alse from me, since I have nothing." - Syaoran was hurt inside, but did not show it on the outside.

"It were not the elders who sent me here." - Eriol took an envelope he had inside the left pocket of his jacket, and gave it to Syaoran.

"What is it?" - Syaoran asked while opening the envelope carefully.

"Your mother and sisters told me to give you this. Everything should be explained inside." - Syaoran sat on a chair nearby and carefully rad the small letter. It was obvious his mother had wrotte this letter without the elders knowing it.

<Hong-Kong, 2nd of September 2003-05-15

Dear son,

Although I'm aware that i should not be contactig you after you gave up on your family for that woman, I cannot deny that you are my only son and that I love you very much. I'm sorry if I never showed you this, but you know we are not supposed to give up on such emotions.

I'm rather worried about you, just like your four sisters who miss you very much. Wei does too.

I'd hoped to find you in the best of all hapiness, even if you're not with us, even if you're against us in some way. But I know you're not happy.

When receiving this letter, i'm almost 100% sure that the girl dumped you, because I could see in her eyes that all she wanted was your money, and I'm sorry you never noticed this fact. I also hope you haven't done anyhting stupid, and I swear I'd rather find you happy in the arms of the girl you love ... but I know you''e not.

What I'm writting you for is to tell you that me and your sisters would like to see yyou again.

Please tell Eriol when will the best time be and we will be there, waiting for you.

With love,

Yelan, Fuutie, Fanrei, Fenmei and Shiefa>

When Syaoran finished reading the letter, he had tears in his eyes. His mother had never been one to express her emotions so freely and never one to forgive a person't mistake so easily.

He looked up at Eriol and smiled. - "When do you think it will be the best time to see them?"

"You can catch the next flight to Hong-Kong if you like. I'll agend a time and place for the meting."

Syaoran was about to agree, but he remebered something else. - "Oh I can't! Not this week. Sakura has an appointment with the doctor in three days, and I promissed to go with her. Can't we make it to next week?" - Eriol grinned and nodded. - "Rthanks. We'd better head upstairs or the girls will begin to get worried." - he got up from the chair and headed to the door.

"Listen Syaoran." - Syaoran nodded his head, while they went upstairs. - "You made the right choice. There's no one like Sakura-chan." - Syaoran turned his ay with big eyes.

"What?" - he asked increduasly.

"Yow Kid. He thinks you're the father!" - Kero said while containing his laugh.

"I'm not the father!" - Syaoran yelles, almost succeding at waking the whole house up.

"You're not?" - Eriol asked coonfused. But soon it was replaced with a sly grin. - "Yeah right." - Syaoran turned so red, that it seemed like he was about to explde.

"When I sat I'm not, I mean it."

"Loo, my cute little descendent. You don't need to lie to me. I know Sakura-chan since she was tem. She's a great girl, you'll be happy with her, trust me on this." - Syaoran was really starting to get pissed, and Kero was laughing like a maniac.

"I ... am ... not ... the ... FATHER!" - the whole house seemed to shske.

"Ok! I got your point. But if you're not the father, tehn who is it?" - Syaoran didn't answer to his wuestion, instead he turned over and continued to climb upstairs. Then Kero came to Eriol and told him all about it.

"Oh my God! Poor Sakura-chan! I'm never here when she most needs me!" - Eriol siad, feeling guilty.

"Don't feel that way. It's not your fault. If anything, I should've been the one to protect her ... but I didn't." - Eriol and Syaoran looked at Kero, who seemed sadder than usual.

Syaoran, with a gring, picked Kero by his tail and lifted him in the air. - "You yellow fur ball. It was not your fault. It was no ones fault. You hear me?" - he shacekd Kero as much as he could, and Kero dind't stop whining. - "Get real stuffed toy! Sakura doesn't want anyone feeling sad, so cher up!" - Kero nodded and flew in Syaoran's shoulder.

"You're right kid." - but as a revenge, Kero pushed Syaoran's ear to it's limit, trying to avoid Syaoran's hands that wanted to strangle him to death. Eriol just shock his head.

... ... ... ... ... ... ...

When they finally reached Sakura's room, they saw both girls siting silently on the pink bed.

"Syaoran-kun, where do you know Eriol-kun from?" - Sakura actually wanted to ask what they talked about, but that would be rude.

"He is after all my cute little descendent." - Eriol grinned.

"Shut up Eriol! He's my cousin Sakura-chan. A very distante cousin!" - Syaoran glared but Eriol only smiled that smile of his.

"Hoe! (Note: Sakura has already told Syaoran about Eriol, and how he helped her transform the cards. But Syaoran though it would be better, not to tell her about the cousins thing. He'd rather not talk about his family very much.)

Tomyo got up. - "I'd better be going. It's getting late. I'll see you all tomorrow at school." - when she was ready to leave the room, she felt a hand grasp her wrist.

"I'll accompanny you home. I've done what I came for. See you all tomorrow." - Eriol wanted to tell Sakura something, but he thought better of it. And the two left the house.

Sakura looked up at Syaoran, wondering if she should or should not ask him. He looked down at her and grinned. - "C'mon! I know you're curious. Pop the wuestion!" - she was surprised but decided to do it.

"Alright!" - she took a deep breath. - "What were you and Eriol-kun talking about?" - by now she was extremelly red.

Syaoran chuckled at her, and handed the letter for her to read. - "Read this! It's from my mother." - Sakura's eyes snapped open.

"From your mother?" - she took a glance at the letter and though better of it. She handed it back to him. - "Then I can't read it. It's personal." - he shock his head and refused the letter.

"Read it! Aren't we supposed not to keep secrets from each other?" - he smiled reasurengly.

"Isn't that in marriage?" - ???????????????????? - "Hoe! I'm so silly. Wrong choice of words." - she rubbed the back of her head, and then took the letter and read it carefully.

... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

With Eriol and Tomoyo:

"Tell me the truth Tomyo-chan." - Tomoyo looked up at him inquizzingly. - "You ran off right?" - she turned 100 shades of red.

"W-Well .... I ...." - Eriol chuckled and Tomoyo's embarrassment disappereared. It was the first time she saw him chuckle.

They finally arrived to her mansion. - "Do you need help getting inside?" - she smiled but shock her head.

"I'm used to it already." - the tow stayed there for a while. Just looking into each others eyes.

Ever so slowly, Eriol started leaning forward. Tomyo closed her eyes and raised her head up to meet his. When their lips were about to touch ...

"WHERE IS SHE?" - the two jumped back. Crimson red was the colour of their faces.

"I guess my mother finally noticed my absence." - Tomoyo said embarrassdly.

"I'll help you with this one." - his hands glowed red and suuddenly the shouts in the house ceased. - "Goodnight Tomoyo-chan."

"Goodnight." - he lifted his left hand ans Tomoyo disappeared from his sight, but appeared inside her room. Then he erased the memory of the lats minutes from the people in that house, so she wouldn't get in trouble.

After a few minutes, Eriol saw Tomyo's lights go off and he sighed. He had been miserable since he left five years ago, and only now he understood why.

Everyday his heart seemed empty, but he never realised that what was missing was the girl with purple eyes. - "And they say Sakura is dense." - he said to no one in particular.

The End! Of the chapter of course.

I know this chapter sounded ... weird ... can't tell you why but it does.

Now, tell me what you think. Was it lame? A piece of trash?

I'll see you around next week.
