SUMMARY: After the Hex trilogy, Raven has disappeared and England has calmed. But just because it is getting better in one place, doesn’t mean that it’s getting any better anywhere else. This is a continuation of the series, showing what is possible that could happen in America in the ten years after, the time span that was hinted at the end of the third book, Hex: Ghosts. This takes place two years after the third book, eight years left to go.

He falls for Aerith and decides to help in keeping them safe (…or IS he?? Bio: Found out about her Hex gene in her late teens (never was a computer person) and was found by Yuffie.   Name: Reno Age: 27 Status: Hex Occupation: former Shinra Turk Originally in: Final Fantasy 7/FF7: AC Bio: At the downfall of Shinra, he and other Turks have had to go into hiding from bounty hunters and the government. It was unable to be proven whether or not Shinra was using Hex.   Name: Rude Age: 29 Status: “normal” Occupation: former Turk Originally in: Final Fantasy 7/FF7: AC Bio: One of the former Turks of Shinra, Inc. and is in hiding with Reno and Elena. Usually quiet and people fear him because he is the muscle of the group.   Name: Elena Age: 24 Status: “normal” Occupation: former Turk Originally in: Final Fantasy 7 Bio: A petite woman—people found it strange that she even had the ability to become a Turk. She’s a friend of Tidus’ and helps in taking care of the other Hex children. Acts as the more mature one. He then loses it all when he accidentally blanks out in class while using a computer from going into the net.   Name: Hige Age: 22 Status: Hex Occupation: student turned ‘Wolf’ Originally in: Wolf’s Rain Bio: Had to drop out of his final year at NYU because he was found to be a Hex. Ran away and now lives on the streets with the Wolves.   Name: Lavi Head Age: 17 Status: classified/unknown Occupation: childhood friend of Claus’ Originally in: Last Exile Bio: An old childhood friend of Claus’s who attempts to look after him.   Name: Claus Valca Age: 17 Status: Hex Occupation: part of the Aurochs Originally in: Last Exile Bio: Tidus and Shuyin’s younger brother. He was caught by the Federation when using a terminal to get them away from his friends and family. He has been sending messages to the Aurochs since he got caught.   Name: Mullin Shetland Age: 21 Status: Hex Occupation: former North American Federation Officer (resigned) Originally in: Last Exile Bio: When he found out that he had the Hex gene, he left the Federation as fast as he could and began to help in the Hex cause.   Name: Gippal Age: 20 Status: Hex (Al Bhed) Occupation: part of the gang, the Al Bhed Psyches. Originally in: Final Fantasy X-2 Bio: A childhood friend of Rikku’s. Part of the Al Bhed Psyches, a gang run by Rikku’s father to attempt to ensure the safety of the Hex by trying to keep in touch with the gangs and putting the CPS off of any trails they find.  

[1] Hex: people who have this gene that enables them to go inside of “the network” a.k.a. the net and control computers. In the Hex trilogy, by Rhiannon Lassiter, the Hex genes are usually known by the time they become a teenager. If they are found by the Federation officers/CPS, they are taken in and killed before they can cause any “danger” to people who aren’t Hex.
