Disclaimer: hm… lessee what I don’t own so far… I keep adding shows. I don’t own the Hex trilogy, Rhiannan Lassiter does (and her grammar sucks), I don’t own Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8, Final Fantasy 10, or Final Fantasy X-2. Square Enix (or is it soft? Or Corp???) does.  As well as Disney with Kingdom Hearts…. Hm… Don’t own ‘Cowboy Bebop’ or ‘Wolf’s Rain’ or ‘Last Exile’. Whoever owns them does. And I think… I think that’s it…

So… enjoy this Hex/KH/FF7/FF8/FF10/FFX-2/CB/WR/LE crossover!! @_@ … that’s nine. This is the largest crossover I’ve ever done. ^^ For those that have read the book, I think I will make this take place…. Uhm… 2 years after the last book.

Chapter 1

“Squall!”   The man stopped walking and looked back at the eighteen-year-old girl-woman. “It’s Leon.”   “Yeah, fine, whatever. Have you seen Aerith? I can’t find her anywhere.”   He shrugged. “Maybe she’s just out with Cloud.”   She groaned and pulled him into an alley with some effort. “Squall—“   He sent another glare in her direction. “Leon.”   “Fine. LEON, this is a matter of life and death. The CPS is on to us. We need to find her and Cloud and get out! There are Seccie flitters everywhere!”   His eyes narrowed at her. “Yuffie, who did you tell this time?”   The eighteen-year-old hid her hurt behind a veil of anger. “Why does it have to be me that tells? I didn’t tell anyone! I mean, think about it. There’s not really anyone to tell.” A small sneer appeared on her pixie-like face. “Maybe Aerith’s new boyfriend let it slip.” She shook her head and glared at him. “It doesn’t matter. Cid is getting a flitter so we can go, you scan?” When he didn’t answer, she pouted. “Leon, this is serious!”   “…Yeah, I scan.”   As they exited the alley, a flitter landed smoothly on the ground in front of them in the darkness of the ganglands. The doors opened to reveal a smiling and pale Aerith sitting at the wheel, wearing her usual pink. Yuffie signaled for the woman to scoot over so that she could drive. Aerith let out a small, grateful smile and climbed into the backseat with a small sigh of exhaustion. Yuffie climbed into the seat and rolled her eyes.   Cloud was sitting in the back with her. Yuffie liked the man, but that didn’t mean she trusted him. Quite the opposite. He, like her, was from England, but what made him untrustworthy in her eyes was the fact that he was a former European Federation officer before their fall and change of leader. Just like everyone else, she had heard all about it and the stuff going on in England with the Hex named Raven.   Yuffie herself was a twelve-year-old member of the gang known as the Wutai Ninjas when she had confirmed that she did, in fact, have the Hex gene and had somehow managed to keep it a secret from the government since she was a small child. It was a miracle that they hadn’t found her yet, for she had used her Hex genes without fully knowing that she was actually using them. It was unheard of in the world. No one had stayed that long with active Hex genes, save for Raven and the Al Bhed people.   There was a release of images for a few minutes in England. Aerith later told Yuffie and Cid that they had refused to release any of the images in America at that point in time. Then, two years later, the lead singer of the band Masque, Avalon, was “kidnapped” by the rogue Hex, Raven. The public later found out that Avalon herself was found to be a Hex. Raven and a boy were captured by the CPS. A small child, who Yuffie just knew was a Hex, was reported dead. Cloud Estravez, Masque’s “image guy” (as Yuffie liked to call him), had driven his car into a hole that was blown into the wall by an anti-CPS terrorist group, Anglecynn, to save members left behind.   Two years after that, Yuffie and the rest of the world were shown what could happen if the net malfunctioned. It was the way of life in the 24th century world in which they lived. The net controlled everything: planes, security systems, flitters on auto drive, you name it. A new gang in England, the Ghosts, were quietly making themselves known, yet, at the same time, not. A terrorist group blew up a museum, of which Yuffie later found out was a secret headquarters that controlled England’s net.   Then all hell broke loose. People were causing riots in the streets as the network began its massive malfunction. Planes came down, flitters stopped working properly, the lights in all of the buildings wouldn’t stop flashing on and off; the list went on. Then things got worse as the European Federation got a lock on the rogue Hex, Raven. It was reported that when the net began to, once again, work, Raven was just… gone. It was reported that she was last seen in front of the computer terminal, there was a flash of light, and then she had, literally, disappeared.   With a sigh, Yuffie snapped herself out of the thoughts of the past and placed her hands on the steering wheel. Closing her eyes, she threw herself into the net and forced the flitter to move at fast twists and turns away from the Seccie flitters and through the city of light that only she could see. Diving deeper into the ganglands, she bit back a grin. She loved driving while in the net. Motion sickness never came to her when she was in there. Torrents of information that took on the form of light flew by her in a warm rush. She subconsciously heard Cid let out a whoop and a plead from Aerith to slow down.   Of Aerith and herself, the only two Hexes of the group of five, she was the only one who was willing to drive the car using the net. Aerith was more cautious about it; fear ate her up as she thought of what would happen should the CPS get her wherever she went. Then there was Yuffie, completely opposite of the older woman. Yuffie had lived with hers her knowledge of technology her whole life and had been using the genes for survival since she could stand. She and a group of the Wutai boys stole cars and had sold them on the streets of England for a living.   After the images of the experiments being done on the Hex children were released, her father and the rest of the Wutai ninjas vowed to send her somewhere “safe” where they wouldn’t have to constantly worry about her getting caught by the CPS. Half a year after the release of the images and a few days after she turned thirteen, they had Cid take her on a one-way trip to America where he had reluctantly agreed to take care of her. Unfortunately for him, his aircraft was stolen from him. He had let out a string rather impressive curses that seemed to go on for hours on end. She found it hilarious but it became a lot less amusing when they found that the CPS influence had spread after the release of the images and that DNA scanners were set in airports. They were designed to search and find the Hex gene in someone and the Hex would be turned in upon discovery.   It was then that the thirteen-year-old Yuffie Kisaragi had met nineteen-year-old Aerith Gainsborough. Aerith was a rookie at using her own Hex gene as apposed to the younger girl.   Snapping back to reality, she groaned and she sped her way up into the traffic of the city where she proceeded to reduce the speed so that they wouldn’t look the least bit suspicious.   “,”,”,”,”,”,”,”, 221;,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,” ;,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,& #8221;,”,”,”,”,”,”,”   Hige leaned his back against a tree and sighed in resignation. It was, amazingly, one of the only plant lives growing out of the actual ground in the northeast United States. It was bad with plant life dying in the 21st century, but is was nothing compared to what it looked like three centuries later. If there were any, it would be weeds in the darkness of the slums, which he didn’t really consider to be plant life. Or even a plant for that matter. He looked at the scene around him through half-lidded eyes and had the distinct feeling that it was as good as it was going to get.   The tree was, amazingly, set in the middle of where Central Park used to be, now just amongst the dirt and grime that seemed to be best friends with the darkness. It was rather beautiful with pink and red flowers decorating it and he wanted to know how it came to live that long. Especially now that it had buildings as its friends, a part of the dark and dank slums of New York City, just like the rest of that level of the city.   He hated the dirt. He hated the grime. Hell, he even hated the annoying darkness that never seemed to go away, not even when the sun was at it’s highest.   Snorting, he pulled the yellow hood of his dirty hoodie over his wild brunette hair and let out an animalistic growl. “Yup… this is as good as it’ll get.”   “,”,”,”,”,”,”, ”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”, 221;,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,” ;,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,” & nbsp; Reno slid around the corner, trying not to fall flat on his face on the hard, unforgiving concrete. He grinned when he heard a shout on his earpiece.   “Elena! Tell Reno to stop being stupid! He’s going to get us caught!”   He snorted at the blonde woman’s friend. “Yeah, Faye, like you haven’t gotten your ass into deep shit, too.”   “Stop leading the cops to us, you moron.”   “Well, maybe if some people would get their fat assup and help, we wouldn’t be having these problems!”   A sigh was heard. “Faye is on her way. You know… you shouldn’t really call a girl fat. Especially if they have, and know how to use, a gun.”   He rolled his eyes and ducked off of the empty streets and into an alley. “Ah, but you seem to forget. I called her ass fat. Not her.” He then cursed as he heard Faye let out a shout of surprise. He pressed himself against the wall and decided to just listen. He wasn’t stupid. He had a guy after the bounty on his head and a woman who wanted to kill him for calling her fat.   “Spike, you dumbass! You almost shot me!”   “Well maybe if you didn’t jump in the way, it wouldn’t have happened,” the hunter, now known as Spike, said with a careless air.   There was about five seconds of silence before Faye spoke again, her voice considerably lower. “What are you doing here? This is my bounty.”   “You were taking too long.”   “Spike, this country is all ready unstable enough. We have to do this without you actually blowing things up.”   Reno snarled, decided he had heard enough, and, once again, took off. Once he was a considerable distance away, he began to shout into his mouthpiece. “Laney, you and Rude get out of there. Faye’s a fucking bounty hunter.”   “What? How do you know that?”   He snorted. “Do you remember Spike Speigal and Vicious? Yeah, they were two of a kind. Long story short, she was talking to Speigal.”   “… Spike Speigal? Former syndicate Spike Speigal?”   “Yes, now you and Rude get out of there. It’s not like I’m an inval—oh shit!”   Reno went crashing to the ground as his foot connected with something soft.   “Hey! Watch it!”   Reno looked behind him and saw a guy that looked to be in his late teens to early twenties standing up, brushing his yellow hoodie off to the best of his abilities. Brilliant amber eyes glared down at him and Reno stood with an equally icy glare, his aquamarine eyes glowing eerily. Then, the guy’s eyes widened in surprise.   “You’re one of those Shin-Ra Turk guys, aren’t you?”   “How could you tell?” The twenty-five year old red head muttered sarcastically. Chemical-induced eyes were unusual, but why did people have to point out the obvious fact? If you had chem.-eyes, you were somehow linked to Shin-Ra Corp.   “So… that means you’re a Hex?”   “Not all of us.”   “Are you against them or with them?”   “Look. I gotta go. Now get out of my way.” Reno’s hand itched to grab his nightstick and shock the crap out of the brunette, but decided against it seeing that it would show that he was, in fact, there.   “No way! Not until you answer my question.”   “Now is not the time.” Reno mentally winced at how desperate he sounded but kept his cool exterior set.   “Look, if you’ll just answer…”   “I’m with them, all right?”   “Okay, then. Follow me, Turkey.”   Reno scowled at the amber-eyed man’s back and ran after him and into the darkness of another alley just as Spike and Faye came into the area.    “,”,”,”,”,”,”,”, 221;,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,” ;,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,& #8221;,”,”,”,”,”,”,”   ̶ 0;C’mon, Yunie! You should go and say ‘hi’ to him,” Rikku prodded Yuna for what had to be the fiftieth time since they sat down for lunch. The shy, half Al Bhed brunette had ended up sighting a cute blonde man a few tables down from them.   “No, he probably has a girlfriend.”   “It’s been fifteen minutes! Who waits for his girlfriend in a nearly empty shopping mall for fifteen minutes?!”   “Yeah, well what kind of a guy goes to a shopping mall by himself?” Yuna countered.   “One who desperately needs to find a birthday present for a friend. Hi, I’m Tidus.”   Yuna turned a deep shade of red, the color contrasting greatly with her blue eyes. “Uhm… hello…?”   Rikku broke out into a grin and winked one of her own blue eyes at him. She tucked a strand of dark brown hair behind her ear and held out a hand. (1) “I’m Rikku. And this is my cousin Yuna.”   Tidus grasped her had in her own and shook it. If at all possible, his grin widened and he ran a hand through his golden hair. “Ah, the president’s daughter and the Al Bhed princess.”   Rikku scrunched up her nose. “I prefer to be called Rikku, thanks.” Then she blinked, realizing her mistake. “Al Bhed princess? Aren’t the people generally in hiding?” She asked, clenching her shaking hands into a fist in her lap.   Yuna began to tug at her white T-shirt and blue jeans. “Excuse us, Tidus, while we go to the restroom?”   Without waiting for an answer, she grabbed Rikku’s shaking hands with her own and dragged her towards the bathrooms. Once there, Rikku checked that the stalls were unoccupied and satisfied with the verdict, she turned to her cousin, her hair flying around her face as she did so. “Oh my… Yunie, I’m so sorry! I mean… Something’s up! No one’s supposed to know about Cid being my pops. If they find out about me being Al Bhed, people find out about you being half Al Bhed. And if they find out…!” (2)   “Then they’ll know that I’m a Hex. Yeah, I know.”   “,”,”,”,”,”,” ,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,&# 8221;,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,̶ 1;,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”   “Tidus, what happened?!”   The twenty-one year old clutched his ear and winced. “Keep it down, will ya?” He then looked up to where his twin was sitting with his girlfriend, Lenne, and sighed. “I slipped up and mentioned the Al Bhed,” he murmured, moving his mouth as little as possible.   He heard the other blonde sigh. “Pops knew Braska. When they come back, tell them that.”   “If they come back, Shuyin. If.”

“,”,”,”, ”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”, 221;,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,” ;,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,& #8221;,”,”   Sora groaned and leaned his back against the door, exasperation showing clearly on his face as he ran a hand through his brown hair. “We can’t stay here anymore. This is getting ridiculous.”   Riku leaned back in his chair and smirked at his best friend. “It’s not like we can do anything about it. We can’t leave the country because of those damned scanners and it’s not like we know how to jack a skimmer.”   Kairi grinned and ruffled up Riku’s silver hair. “Don’t give up, guys. You two may be Hexes, but I’m not.”   Sora looked at the crimson haired girl with confused blue eyes, an eyebrow raised quizzically. “But what can a sixteen-year-old girl do, Kai?”   She jumped off of the table and kept a straight face, her own blue eyes serious for once. “Okay, I know I’m not a Hex, but cut me some slack. I can still help. I want to help. This is America. A “free” country, even though Hexes are caught and killed when found. There’s nothing you can do to stop me.”   Riku snorted, his sea-green eyes sparkling. “We could tie you to a chair.”   “Good to know you have some humor left,” Sora muttered.   Eyes still holding his amusement, Riku kept a straight face. “I’m serious. You got any rope?”   The door Sora was leaning on suddenly burst open, sending him sprawled on the ground in a heap. A shout was heard from the door that made the three freeze in fear.   “Freeze! You are all under arrest.”   “,”,”,”,”,”,& #8221;,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,R 21;,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,” ,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,”,&# 8221;   (1)- In case you didn’t read the character profiles, Rikku wears a wig and contacts to keep the whole Al Bhed thing a secret.   (2)- Again, in case you didn’t read the character profiles… Al Bhed: those who people are sure are Hex because of their eyes.   Author’s notes: ‘Tis chapter 1!!!!! HUZZAH!  2,745 words for the actually story part. ::tear:: I’m so proud of myself. Right then. This will most definitely be the most boring chapter of them all. Hopefully anyway. If there is any confusion on the whole… Hex thing, just e-mail me (or read the books. They’re good if you overlook the LARGE number of typos. ^^) or whatever. It’s in my profile and blah. You guys know the drill. REVIEW!   (Holy crap. You can even tell me this is crappy. It’s very disorganized, but I couldn’t come up with any way to reword it!! ^^)
