"We're also talking about you." He watched as Kari put her bowl in the sink, and then headed back to the bathroom. He called after her. "Are you going to tell TK how you feel about him? Or was that squeal I heard last night in your room a sign that he told you how he felt first?"

When Kari came out three minutes later, she was wearing a pair of heart-shaped earrings. Tai also noticed she had some perfume on. "A little much for just hanging out, don't you think?"

Kari rolled her eyes at him. "I want to make a good impression on TK, okay? We may be going out after the movie." She kissed his cheek. "I'll call before I come home. Have fun." She headed for the door.

It was then Tai realized what clothes Kari was wearing. "That had better be before 7 tonight," he said aloud, but then to himself after the door closed. "Or else I'll make sure they never find TK's body!" He sighed and stood up. <Might as well get dressed and start roaming town, like usual...>

TK was still in bed when the doorbell rang.
